Other rooms were built with the idea of following the local culture and history in their layout. Of course, you will find every comfort of today’s world. To create this balance, the original roof was lifted. Then, modern bathrooms with all amenities were installed. All the while, the finish of the wooden furniture reflects the history of the Bai people. The furniture itself was designed with clean lines to give them a modern feel. Each room lets in beautiful natural lighting alongside meticulous wood or granite flooring.

The room was very nice and clean. We brought our children with us and they were a bit noisy. The owner was very patient and took extra care of us. It was a little quiet at night and we were next to the block at 9 o'clock. The area next to the hotel was also very beautiful, suitable for bringing children to get close to nature. Finally, we cooked a meal in the hotel. The owner generously agreed, although we didn't clean up well afterwards. In short, it was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended👍

The contemporary rebirth of a 78-year-old house, led by the SC design team. The renovation was led by the domestic avant-garde design team SC and took one year and three months of meticulous work. The original beam and column structure of the 78-year-old house was fully preserved. On the basis of the utmost respect for the soul of the ancient Bai ethnic architecture in Shaxi, the wabi-sabi aesthetic and Song Dynasty elements were perfectly integrated to create a hotel that combines vacation, leisure and culture. Design concept: A spatio-temporal poem of coexistence between the old and the new Restoration as it was - Every old beam and pillar has undergone traditional tung oil anti-corrosion treatment. The mottled rammed earth walls have been carefully preserved. Sunlight filters through the century-old wooden carved windows, casting flowing shadows on the ground. Coarse earthenware, hand-textured lacquer walls, and the asymmetrical beauty of imperfection create an "imperfect Zen" atmosphere. The Song Dynasty's finishing touch - the "blank space" layout in landscape paintings, collides with the Bai ethnic group's fire pit culture, creating a new context of Eastern aesthetics. Many visitors are attracted to this beautiful village and would stay for months to paint, take photos and hike. We used to travel around the world and we understand how important it is to stay in a warm, clean, convenience and welcoming place to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. Miss May Hotel was transformed from a traditional house built by the Bai family. We preserved the unique style of this historic house with a touch of modern amenities. This is by far the most satisfying guesthouse I've stayed at on this trip. The courtyard boasts a unique garden landscape with charming small bridges, flowing water, and a tranquil koi pond, creating an exceptionally peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and bright, offering lovely views from the window. All amenities are smart and the entire place is impeccably clean. The owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming, assisting with luggage and even offering warm milk before bed. Breakfast was fantastic too! Due to the excellent experience, I decided to extend my stay in Shaxi for another night, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!
