The Golden Inn

Our room was clean and comfortable, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The Golden Inn is a little off of the beaten path but well worth the effort to get there. Located in a quiet rural area, it's still close to local attractions. We'd stay here again!

This place felt right out of a book, it was retro, quaint, and run by a lovely local lady. I love supporting mom and pop business like this one. The room felt like a cozy cabin, I loved the vintage touches from the quilt to the blue tile in the bathroom, and the lovely view of the woods out back. Will definitely stay here again if I pass through the area.

These reviews are amazing. This motel is lacking so much, including a bathroom with heat. Straight out of the 40s, the room itself has been updated BUT the windows, the curtins, the flower boxes - I could go on - are retro at best. Spend #1 more, go into Richmond and find yourself a modern-day hotel with heated bathrooms and cable TV. You won't catch me here again.

The staff is wonderful, friendly and so easy to work with! They make the jump from 4 stars to 5. The hotel is so easy to navigate, even with a trailer- it's a long curved pull through driveway. We really like parking right in front of the door, which faces away from the parking lot and offers privacy when entering and leaving (you can't see into the room from the parking lot) yet you are visible and feel safe. It's basic and simple, but very comfortable. The room was dark and quiet, made for a great night's sleep. Can't beat the price and they are dog friendly! Stop for coffee and amazing cider donuts (and pumpkin donuts...and cinnamon rolls...) across the street. This is our go to stay for our KC to Cleveland trips. We'll be back again! A

Room was cool upon entering after a long hot drive and everything was very clean. Owners were helpful and very kind. Great property, I love t hat there are apple trees all over the place. I will stay again.
