Jarvis Township Hotels with Pools

This is a hard review to write. First off, the staff are all very good and put a lot of effort out. The problem is the hotel itself. It feels like it's in sort of a death spiral. Prices are low (and yes, you get what you paid for) so there is limited money for repairs, which means the hotel won't support higher prices and on and on. There are just a lot of small repairs that need to be made such as damage to drywall, shower rod is not flat so the curtain won't stay open.....so moisture gets every where and damages the drywall. Breakfast was fine. No pancakes/waffles...there's a spot for a machine, but I assume it's broken too. The pool was fine, but the door to the outside wouldn't stay closed, so someone had shoved a bunch of cloths (sheets?) In front of it to keep it closed. And they looked pretty gross, catching water. Again, it's an inexpensive hotel. The staff works hard, but they are working with limited resources.

100% Smoke-Free Red Roof Troy is located near downtown Troy, and is so close to St. Louis. The Collinsville Convention Center, Cahokia Mounds Historic Site and the Gateway International Raceway are all located close to this hotel. All the attractions of St. Louis?downtown, Anheuser Busch Brewery, Busch Stadium, Edward Jones Dome, and Scottrade Center?are an easy 20 minute drive. We offer our guests free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast, a free expanded cable package featuring HBO, an indoor pool and free coffee in the lobby.

Clean, well maintained motel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Made reservation online and all was in order when I arrived. Rate was correct too. Decent place and close to interstate. Sometimes Super 8 can be iffy, this one is not! Made reservations through Walmart + travel.
