Hotel is filthy needs paining toilets don’t flush customer service below standard pool area dirty no ice in vending machine paint peeling in rooms pillows need replacing

Breakfast was great but my room keys wasn’t working because door battery was dead. I couldn’t move original room( 2 queen room) til third day. I was in 1 king bedroom 2 adults and 1 kid. Front desk supposed to call me. I left my number twice and talked couple people. They never called me. I suppose to get discounts I still not get it. We will see. And room wasn’t clean. We see couple spiderweb. Pool was dirty. Only location was good.

Too Short playing in the lobby! I recently visited Jacksonville with my family for the first time and we made reservations for several nights at the Ramada. What a HUGE mistake. As soon as I entered the lobby I could tell it was a mistake, there is a bar in the lobby and the bar was blasting Too Short. Its not a big lobby/bar area, so I mean you walk in and you can't avoid the atmosphere of the bar and music, your in it. My 11 y.o. son was with us, great. Apparently, there is a comedy club here on the weekends, and we had arrived on a Friday night, so they were getting ready for the show. We were given our room key, to room 175, and went to check in. As soon as we opened the door it was very clear that we weren't going to be able to stay in that room. I was hit by an overwhelming odor of mold, mildew and moisture. The ceiling of the room has paint marks where you could see there had been water intrusion from the room above, and it was just painted over in strips. The paint was flaking off in sections all over the ceiling. There was mildew on the ceiling and the walls of the room. You could see the black mildew coming through the ceiling and wall behind, and next to the bed's headboard. I always check my hotel room for bed bugs by pulling back the sheets on the corners of the bed and sure enough there was yellow staining all om the corners of the mattress, which indicates that they needed to treat for bed bugs in the past. The carpet was also tacky when you walked on it, it felt like are feet caught in sections when we walked, and when I looked it looked like there was mildew on sections of the carpet! I went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay in that room. They offered to move us to room #159, so we started moving our things, but after getting half of our things moved we discovered that the door lock on room 159 was faulty and the room couldn't be locked or opened reliably. Not only that, room #159 also stank like mildew/mold. I couldn't see any clear water intrusion remainders in that room, but at this point we were done trying. The staff tried to tell us that it was our fault the room key wasn't working on 159, that we had deprogrammed it by putting it next to our cell phones, but we didn't have them on us next to the room keys, and it was clear the door and lock were damaged. To their credit they did approve our refund. But never again. You have been warned, I would not stay here.

On outdated hotel and the rooms, vending, air condition, fire alarms etc were not adequate or definite maintenance showed it and was badly needed. Staff did a good job and the breakfast buffet was good though a bit limited. But over all we would rate the hotel at a C at best. As an afterthought, we should have stayed at the La Quinta.
