Hampton Inn Jacksonville East Regency Square

Customer service was very poor (aside from the sweet lady that worked the breakfast room). Front desk took several times to answer the phone. The hotel room phone didn’t work. The body wash was out, and we requested more. Front desk said sure, and they never came. They also failed to monitor floors when complaints were made about groups loitering and playing in hallways at 11:00pm - 2:00am. Front desk was called, they said they would come up, nobody came up. Aside from the location and the nice waffle maker at breakfast, customer service was abysmal and management was poor.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inns over the years, but this one ranks at the bottom. We were a large group,, one room had a dirty shower, all rooms had sticky and slightly damp floors. It just didn’t feel or smell very clean. Another room’s refrigerator would pull out of the cabinet if the door was opened. Overall the hotel just felt neglected. The beds were comfortable and the front desk was helpful. Breakfast was adequate, comparable to the average hotel free breakfast. The dining area is small, so it’s difficult for large groups to eat at the same time. We booked an accessible room for people with a hearing disability, but they do not have items needed to accommodate the disability, such as an alarm clock with a bed shaker. If you need something of that kind you will need to provide your own if you plan to stay here. If we are ever in the area again, we will look for different accommodation.
