I was hoping to put the two videos I made on here. My husband sleeps thru a tornado. I do not. Our air conditioner was rattling all night. I didn’t want to call in maintenance at 2 am and wake up my husband. I told the front desk, Lisa and she said “I’m sorry. You should have called. We would have come in a reset it.” No offer to discount or anything. Just I’m sorry, I should have done something to make my stay better. I told her to call someone now to reset it. Well just so happens the whole unit has to be replaced, not a reset. They removed it from the wall while we were inside eating breakfast. Replaced it. Room 115. This was not a good experience at all.

Checked in on April 10 around , 4 pm or so, fell asleep awoke to my ankle itching, saw red small punctures! Went to front desk and they (including Dee GM) were rude and uncaring, offered me nothing. Went to bed that night with long sleeve tee shirt tucked into my workout pants and socks over top of pants, .next morning something pinching my back, finally removed it , LARVAE! Took it to front desk they looked at it and said "well, it isn't a bed bug"... I never said it was! Put me in another room next night as I was speaking to their CALL CENTER IN JAMAICA, I felt something crawling up my left arm, another bug, I caught 3 diff bugs, took them to front desk asked for compensation... NO! I have made 4 visits at this time 06/19/2024 to my dermatologist and am on 3 different meds, punch biopsy came back as insect bites! Have letter from doctor verifying this! This happened April 10 to 12th 2024, stayed there 5 or more times before, only because I cannot afford the Marriott on the Mayo campus, always dirty, smelly, just plain nasty! Had to go back last week to the Mayo, stayed at a diff hotel, so much cleaner and caring staff! The MOD at this Hampton did NOT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS THE MOD, HAHA! I had to point to her name on a plaque behind her, stayed in Feb of this year, NO TV, NO ONE TO FIX IT, NO OFFER TO MOVE ME! STEER CLEAR OF THIS DISGUSTING FILTHY SUPPOSED HOTEL, MORE LIKE A DUNGEON!

Stayed 4 nights while in Jax for business and chose this hotel due to proximity to Mayo. Rooms could use a refresh but were generally clean (other than the carpet which felt sticky). However, we experienced several issues during our stay - barking dogs in nearby rooms, aggressive dogs lunging in hallway, lack of daily housekeeping (not disclosed at time of booking), dirty pool, etc. Staff were pleasant but poor upper management is evident in the many service failures. Will not return or recommend.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay there again. Context: I am a Hilton Honors member, stayed during hurricane Idalia and had a small dog. Staff: Check-in staff were very friendly and helpful. They had house-cleaning staff on duty even with the hurricane. Within an hour of checking-in they followed up to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Facility: The hotel was in good shape, had a food serving area and combination dining area and living-room. It had a good gym with equipment in good shape. Each floor had washer/dryer sets that were reasonably priced at $1 or $1.50 per batch. Room: The room was clean, did not look worn and there were no smells. The TV was large and leveraged DirectTV for cable channels. The bed was a little firm but the pillows were soft. The bathroom was clean, tub and toilets were clean, no dripping faucets, plenty of towels and toiletries. It had a “larger” dorm-size 3.5-ish cubic-foot refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There was a hotel style window HVAC with wall thermostat that had no limits on low temp setting. There were also several USB charging ports. Location: The hotel is very close to World Market, Publix and Target; as well as several restaurants. Breakfast: Even though there was a hurricane passing by, there was a plentiful breakfast with scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, roasted potato wedges, several cereals, pastries, bananas, apples, waffles…..

Hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Rooms were clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel.
