Was clean but definitely for the price was ok

This property was in a great location, was clean, and on Saturday morning had omelette which is something you don’t see. One thing I didn’t like was that on *******, it showed it had an airport shuttle which is why I booked. Then I found out when I checked in that the guy was out of town. So, feeling like they should have paid a little toward a taxi, Uber, or had some kind of work around.

The reviews for this recently rebranded hotel were mostly positive (I assumed most of the construction was completed, and it seemed only minor details remained), so it was an easy choice. GPS in our car did not direct us to the correct location, but Google Maps did. My wife and I were confused at first, as the former Best Western branding is still on the front of the building, but we saw the Clarion Pointe flag displayed out front. The staff was very friendly and efficient and we were checked in quickly. Our room was on the upper floor, as we prefer not to have people clomping around overhead. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The only negative is that there are no hooks anywhere in the bathroom (the bathroom door is a pocket door. The breakfast area is large and clean, and the offerings were typical Choice options. Checkout was easy and quick. Our experience was very positive and we recommend this place.

Late arrival, but made it. Yea! Exhausted during my Extensive business travels, coupled with unexpected flight delays…. I needed to rest up .Room wasn't clean Not a good sign upon closing the bathroom door and seeing the used towel hanging on the door with lipstick smears and makeup on them, plus blond hairs on the toilet seat . I don't think they cleaned the room because the bed wasn't as tight as you normally see at any hotel. Seems like someone had slept in the bed or just stacked the used pillows back up on the bed & threw the sheets back real quick. Now, I'm afraid to take a shower because I don't know if the towels on the shelves are cleaned. Too late at night to come down to the front desk . The phone in my room doesn’t work. Hence, calling the front desk night auditor from my mobile phone and still no answer throughout the night . A male voice eventually answers in a groggy voice at 5:05 am this morning , hangs up on me after I explained the reason for my call. His only reply was that’s gonna wait till management comes in and he literally hang up. I called back and no one, and I mean no one is picking up the phone this morning . No call back, inspite of having identified myself and room number., but I'm not coming back here tomorrow. Was this front desk person asleep in the room they charged me for? Did he knowingly rent me a dirty room? I am learning from a couple also leaving that it is common for the night staff , especially the one on right now to sleep on the job at night and not answer phones. I cannot in good conscience recommend this horrible hotel experience.
