The Red Dragon House is a great location for those who wish to discover Ashland, along with the southern Rogue Valley, but still get that rural feeling while remaining only minutes from town. The single-story house is spacious at nearly 1,000 square feet, and features mountain views of the southern Rogue Valley. The house features a large open living room/kichen area, with lots of counter space, two well-appointed bedrooms and a bathroom shower, suitable for those with mild handicaps, and has three decks from which to choose, all on a property that is 5.2 acres, in a rural neighborhood, that's quiet. All this only five minutes from the nearest restaurants and markets, and ten minutes from Downtown Ashland, and the Mt. Ashland Ski Area is only 19 miles away!
While the neighborhood is quiet, it should be mentioned that the property is adjacent to I-5, which makes getting to us easy, but does provide some road noise. This is our third year at the Red Dragon House and every year it gets better. Mick, Mindy, and Tobi are all excellent hosts and make us feel at home. The house is clean and comfortable. Perfect!

Charming
The property was cheerful and comfortable in a lovely setting. There is a helpful welcome book and all the cabinets are labelled.The only low note is that I got lost getting there. If you start in the middle of town, Main St. splits at one point. The right side takes you where you want to go. The left leads you to California.

Perfect Location
We were looking for a nice quiet location close to the highway and this was perfect. It was very clean, the kitchen was beautiful and the welcome cookies were delicious. Thank you!

Spectacular!
Everything about the Red Dragon House was wonderful! The house is spotless and comfortable, with three (!) porches each with spectacular views of the Siskiyous and Cascades. Perfect for the elderly and families as well. Mike and Mindy were perfect hosts, as were Toby and Samantha. The ground squirrels were the cutest things as well. We stayed a month and didn't want to leave--we'll be back!

A perfect stay
We selected this property to accommodate my elderly father, and it was perfect for him. I LOVED the cozy and well stocked home, the beautiful setting and the kind and accommodating hosts. The stay was simply perfect, and we recommend the Red Dragon House enthusiastically.

Overnight stop
We stayed just for a night on our way down to CA from WA. Mike and Mindy's place was a great place to stop and was very quiet. It was comfortable and relatively close to town. It was nice to have coffee and snacks laid out for us.

Wonderful
This is our second time staying here. We love the property out and away from everything. Mike and Mindy are so helpful, and everything very neat and clean. After a long day of driving we enjoyed sitting on the back patio and relaxing before dinner. Hope to return next year.

Red Dragon House
This is an excellent place to stay. It is a clean well maintained house. The owner was so nice to us and the house had everything you could think you needed including snacks. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to stay, I'm coming back.

Quaint but close to everything
The house was extremely cozy and comfortable. It was fairly isolated and yet only 10 minutes away from good breakfast spots and everything else. We also were able to meet the horses which was very fun. We didn't have pets but the house seemed perfect for anyone with them. Only bummer i guess was that we weren't able to sign into Netflix, but that's super minor. We just ended up watching a ton of cold case files haha would 100% stay again
