Our stay at The Greenity was exceptional from start to finish. After a full-scale update, the hotel re-opened refreshed and revitalized in November 2024. Every staff member we met was warm and genuinely welcoming. We were there for a family reunion, and the service made it truly memorable. The hotel itself is stunning - peaceful, refined, and unlike anything else in the area. Despite its elegance, the atmosphere remains approachable thanks to the courteous and attentive staff. The meals were one of the highlights for us —both dinner and breakfast were beautifully prepared and delicious. The Western cuisine, with its elegant French influence, — just a note for those expecting American-sized portions: the hotel offers a more refined, quality-over-quantity dining experience, and we absolutely loved it. Our family members who opted for the Japanese breakfast also spoke very highly of their meal. We also had the pleasure of meeting the supervisor of the Western cuisine restaurant and the hotel’s general manager. It was clear that the leadership team at The Greenity is deeply committed to excellence and leads with genuine passion for hospitality. The atmosphere of the hotel is truly one-of-a-kind. It feels almost surreal to find such a refined and tranquil retreat in Iwata. Even if you’re a local, we highly recommend staying at The Greenity for a special occasion. The spacious rooms, beautifully maintained garden, and soothing hot spring make it the perfect place to relax and celebrate. I was biking past the hotel and decided to stop there for a night. Hotel staff were very courteous and nice, they even allowed me to keep bike in the separate room designed for such things and they did not mind my dirty road clothing or sporty look although atmosphere was very cozy. Hot springs under the hotel are simply excellent with water red as wine. Unfortunately only one or two baths, but it was quite enough to soak after biking the whole day. I got incredibly spacious room with all necessities and a little bit retro but very pleasant interior. There was japanese garden out of the windows which made my stay even more pleasant. Unfortunately did not enjoy the food because it was just too late to order it but I am very satisfied by this stay and would stay again for sure.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was surprised at how old it was. However, once inside, the restaurant and other facilities had been nicely renovated and were well-cleaned. It felt like an old local tourist hotel, and I imagine they held a lot of weddings here. The courtyard was stylish and would look great in wedding party photos. The hotel was wide, and it was quite difficult to move between the guest room floors. The hot spring facilities were not large, but were large enough for relaxation. On the other hand, the room was quite old, but well-cleaned. They also promoted the local mascot character, which I liked. I would like to use it again.

I stayed here for a class reunion. I was at the entrance waiting for the social gathering to start, and even though it was a hot season, the air conditioning wasn't working and it felt muggy. The building is old and well-maintained, but it felt a bit like a country hotel.

It's far from the station, and the hotel is deep, so it's far from the room. It's not convenient, but it's an old hotel with no other options. But the staff are calm and kind. I stayed at a famous hotel in Iwata with a former colleague. We live in Iwata and Fukuroi, so we felt familiar with the hotel. The dining area was very spacious and had elegant decorations, such as glass fishing net floats. There were also separate restaurants for meals, each with a wonderful atmosphere. Located in a less touristy area, the Grand Hotel offers good services. The room is relatively large, a bit dated, but conforms to Japanese standards. It lacked a bit of heating, however.
