Hotel Misato

Being on business trip in Fukushima area is a good opportunity to stay in traditional Japanese guesthouse instead of modern hotels in the city center. I stayed in a large number of Japanese ryokan all over the country before, but those in Yumoto region with natural hot springs (Yumoto Onsen (湯元温泉)) are my favorite. This Misato (美里) Hotel is not an exception. Moreover, I was really impressed with perfect quality of services, rooms, facility equipment, food and the the hot spring bath. Almost all the Japanese ryokans as well as business hotels are following the same high standards, so you hardly can find one than would be extremely different from another, but this was a case. In some other hotels you still can recognize some imperfections, such as old (or even broken) furniture or room equipment, but in the Misato hotel everything is just perfect. I am not sure whether it is newly built or recently renovated, but everything looks quite new and fresh. In your room you can find whatever you might need. Kaiseki ryori (traditional Japanese food course) in the restaurant was a state-of-art and very tasty. Hot spring in the bath is natural, with proper temperature and contains all the ions and minerals that refresh and heal your skin and body completely, so next morning you are fully recharged and ready for next challenges). Thank hotel management and staff for maintaining the excellent service and keep going on! Good luck! Going to stay at Misato hotel again on my next business trip to Fukushima.
