Wir verbrachten eine unvergessliche Woche im Tainaron Blue Retreat. Die Küche war exquisit; jedes Gericht ein kulinarisches Highlight. Unser Turmzimmer war makellos sauber und bot ein einzigartiges Ambiente. Es dauerte zwei Tage, bis wir die volle Schönheit und Ruhe dieses Ortes vollständig aufgenommen hatten. Das Team kümmerte sich wunderbar persönlich, aber stets zurückhaltend um uns. Einfach traumhaft.

Simply put, Tainaron Blue Retreat has provided me the most wonderful visit and stay I have had in all my 68 years. For context, I grew up in Southern California, and I have been many places in my life including Hawaii, islands in the Caribbean, and several Greek islands as well (Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Corfu, Skiathos, etc) , but Mani and in particular Cape Tainaron is now by far my favorite place. Making my visit there ultimately unparalleled was my stay at Taianron Blue retreat . With its tranquility and majestic views, its beautiful accommodations , Kostas' incredible and detailed hospitality, and the wonderful food as well, Taianron Blue was ironically not as the region was thought of in ancient time as the gateway to hades, but in fact Heaven on Earth!!! It simply was perfect and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately my wife could not come with me for this visit but I am already hounding her for a return next summer!

Penisola del Mani . Terra di mercanti, eroi e navigatori, ha incantato grandi viaggiatori. Selvaggia, mai affollata. Dove le case sono torri, il profumo di salvia invade le strade. E le spiagge solitarie si nascondono tra uliveti e baie di roccia. Si entra nella chiesa del.borgo di Lagio dal campanile e il pope.fa.anche l'oste nel kafenion di fronte . Serve, spremute, miele di timo. Alloggiamo in una torre del 1830 su cui sventola la bandiera bizantina, quattro camere, torre di pietra avvolta dal vento impetuoso in uno scenario di rara bellezza risvegliato solo dal mantra sonoro delle cicale. Kostas ci accoglie con un caloroso benvenuto e ci coccolera' con un servizio eccellente durante il soggiorno. La bellezza del luogo riempie il cuore e la cura degli arredi e dei dettagli incantano. We booked this hotel wanting absolute serenity and relaxation and it delivered 100%. The size of the property is perfect for those looking to escape - only 4 rooms - and the aspect and views are breathtaking. Photos do not do it justice. The rooms are well sized given that the hotel is an old Mani Tower. Because of the size it feels like most of the shared space around the pool area is private. Special mention to go to owner Kostas who has bought this place to life - he is engaging, knowledgeable about the local area and passionate about the region and his guests hospitality. We did quite a bit of exploring during our stay but it would be perfectly possible to spend your entire stay within the walls of the property and have your every need catered for. The food we had on our first night was delicious, and so to was the breakfast every morning. We have been hesitant to mention the address to too many people only because we selfishly want it to remain a hidden gem! We can’t wait to come back and stay again and enjoy Deep Mani knowing that we have paradise to go back to at the end of a day exploring.

Thank you to the owner and his entire team for the quality of their welcome and their service. We were in the room with pool and sea view with lots of charm. The setting is sublime and the cuisine is excellent. Thank you for all your little touches. Rest is guaranteed, to be recommended without hesitation!

C’est avec le coeur gros que nous avons quitté le Tainaron Blue Retreat après un deuxième séjour : à nouveau un séjour inoubliable. Un endroit au bout de Mani ( sud Péloponnèse-Grèce), région restant encore si bien préservée du tourisme de masse. Une région que nous aimons beaucoup : les gens y sont aimables et acceuillants. La région garde son authenticité, sa propreté, sa beauté naturelle, rude et surprennante à chaque virrage. L’ hotel de charme en est un magnifique reflet. La Tour est … magique ! La vue est « à couper le souffle ». L’aménagement de la tour authentique est fait avec un très bon goût et le respect du local. Un endroit paisible, de tout repos … au bout du monde ! La gastronomie est savoureuse : les étoiles et fourchettes Michelin ne se comptent pas. Quelle finesse ! Bravo à cette charmante dame en cuisine ! Le personnel y est exceptionnel et discrêt : la souriante femme de chambre soigne pour une netteté exceptionelle ; les garçons Georgiens sont toujours disponible, le sourire au bout des lèvres. Quelle équipe symathique ! Nous avons été acceuilli par un patron chaleureux et attentionné : même que ce n’était que notre deuxième séjour, nous nous sentions faire partie de la famille.Nous en sommes fiers. Nous avons deux souhaits au font du cœur : puisse la Tour rester inchangée et … puissions-nous y revenir aussi tôt que possible !

Nous venons ici régulièrement et comme toujours notre séjour a été parfait: que ce soit de part la gentillesse du propriétaire, le service exemplaire du personnel, la cuisine excellente et le cadre juste sublime, voilà le lieu idéal où se ressourcer et profiter d’une parenthèse hors du temps. If you are reading reviews to decide whether you should stay here or not... Stop right now and just book it. It's worth it. A wonderfully tailored experience for my wife and I, we found time to relax, unwind, and enjoy amazing food. Kostas (the architect) found an amazing location, made an amazing hotel, and helped us create amazing memories. We only wish we stayed longer. We stayed for dinner multiple times, and never a dish we regretted ordering. The flavors were inspired. I recommend you expect a long relaxing dinner experience, because this is not a meal to rush through and you won't regret it.
