I would have given this site a 4 as its a very nice site but for someone who has never been on this site before the entrance signage is more or less non existent and we as the boom advised did NOT use our satnav but ended up along a narrow country road for 4 miles unable to turn the van round. One gentleman agreed and said the signage was terrible and hed seen other caravans and motorhomes go down the wrong road. Its a lovely site lovely showers and hard working wardens but please get better entrance signage to the site as this created a very stressful arrival.

Just book it…it’s fantastic Staff as usual were excellent The setting is great & close to most things Exceptionally clean facilities, the staff are meticulous in keeping the site slick & span. Just an all round great campsite & one we will return to again.

Site very clean and tidy, shower blocks look new, nice and clean. This site is near a main road however we were on a fully serviced pitch and furthest from the road, so no a problem , the nesting crows were louder than the road. Pinches are nice and wide and level. Staff friendly. Washing and tumble dryer can be paid by card so no need to scratch around for coins like me. Close to Winchester which has some lovely shops and great coffee shops, would recommend Reeves bakery. A site we would come back to.

We stayed here from 20th December for a week meeting friends to celebrate Christmas. The site is quite small& is very tranquil. There are plenty of lovely walks from the site. Although there are no pubs/ shops particularly close walking distance, there’s a regular, reliable bus service that takes you into Winchester. ( about 8 minute drive) The wardens on the site were friendly&helpful. They made a superb effort with all the Christmas lights around the site & it was a nice touch to be given goodies, ( gorgeous Christmas cake, mince pies& sweets) for staying over Christmas. The shower block, laundry etc were very modern& spotlessly clean. We love quality food & would highly recommend the Golden Lion on the bus route to Winchester & The Bush Inn, Ovington. Be aware that the site is situated off a peculiar give way at a busy island. Once off the island you can easily drive straight ahead down a narrow lane ( as we did) instead of turning right towards the site entrance. Perhaps the club signs at this location could be made more accurate & visible. We had a fantastic stay& will return.

First time on this site and loved it. Very clean, amazing shower facilities and clearly well run. The layout of the site was easy to navigate and a nice peaceful location. The site is approx 30 mins drive from Highclare castle which was well worth the visit and cost much less than a lot of the historic houses. Nothing poor to report at all! We will go back

Lovely spotless site . The showers are excellent and whole facilities are kept so clean . Quiet at night to sleep. Friendly wardens who have achieved a well run site. Plus bus into winchester makes for easy access with no worries about parking.

Beware you absolutely are not allowed onsite or even within the local vicinity before 1pm. We turned up at 12:40pm and were quite rudely asked to leave the site and DO NOT come back or park anywhere near the site. When we did come back, the office checking in was chaos, so there was a backlog. The chap (whose name I didn't get unfortunately as he was a genuine nice, friendly member of staff), very helpful, checked us in at gate and then came and visited us later to check that everything was OK. Large pitch. Beware equally large stingy nettles surrounding the power sockets for when you plug it in. Gorgeous toilets, spotless. Shame about some of the clientele there though. I'm not sure if the clientele at CCC sites are always so rude or were we exceptionally unlucky with the unfriendly nature of other campers. We were quiet and respectful but the vibe and friendliness that we have experienced from many other camping sites, is just not there. If you want to be isolated and don't talk to anyone, this is the place for you. It is absolutely full of huge caravans with pensioners who do not communicate with each other and not inviting. Won't go back.
