The hotel may be a bit dated, so it might not be for very fussy people. And the room was quite small. However, staff was very helpful, breakfast good and the location perfect. Walking distance to Hagia Sofia, Top Kapi Palace etc etc. And still in a very quiet location. Would stay there again!

Our stay at Faut Bey Palace Hotel and Suites was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. While there were two positives—the location is excellent, about a 15-minute walk to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Aya Sofya, and the staff are very friendly and helpful—that’s where the good news ends. The room we were given was extremely small, old, and poorly maintained. The view from our window was dreadful, with dirty water and random things, like the top of a stand, right outside. The bathroom was even worse—tiny, old, rusty, and clearly neglected. To make matters worse, the toilet flush broke in the middle of the night and woke us up. While the staff member was quick to come and shut off the water, it couldn’t be fixed until the morning. Breakfast was another letdown, with very limited options. Once something ran out, it wasn’t replenished, so if you didn’t wake up early, you were out of luck. Overall, it was a horrible stay. We were counting down the days until checkout. Thankfully, the hotel didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Istanbul, which is a beautiful city. However, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Cozy hotel close to everything. Extremely helpful staff, fast working wi-fi, A/C, airport shuttle (90 EUR both directions), cash only). We got an upgrade room on the top floor … well, if you consider a bath tub within the bedroom (no door!) an upgrade … toilet with a small sink could use some refreshment, which goes for a tub as well (dirt stains). Breakfast is very modest, no warm eggs, no toaster, one kind of cheese, coffee is more like water (yes, in Turkey!). However, the hotel is close to everything. Old town Istanbul is on a walking diatance, for Taxim take a tram No T1 then funicular. Restaurants and shops nearby. The view from our penthouse room was on the Marmar sea. I would reserve it again if they gave me bathroom with door :)

Ma réservation a été annulée pour motif carte de crédit non valide. Je me suis présenté à l hotel à 20h00, j ai proposé de passer la transaction avec ma carte nternationale Mastercard qui nécessite un code pin mais malheureusement ils ne veulent savoir et ils m ont proposé une chambre avec plus du double de ma réservation initiale !!!

Great place to stay if you want to visit Istanbul. It's close (10-20min walking distance) to all the important places to visit (Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Topkapi). Also, it's close to the T1 tram line that will easily take you all the way to Taksim. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. I will stay here again when i come to Istanbul again! The breakfast is also delicious with many traditional salads.

A paradoxical hotel in which the common areas are kept in better condition than the rooms. The hotel is located next to the Lesser Hagia Sophia Mosque. If you know the way, you can cross the viaduct and reach the Bosphorus embankment in 5 minutes. Nearby there are two green parks. And along the short path up a small hill you go straight to the Blue Mosque and the Egyptian Obelisk (on the long path you will climb the hill upside down and end up in the Laleli quarter... don’t repeat my mistakes). The hotel itself occupies an old mansion and a quiet street. Beautiful hall and common areas, employees help or try to help. There are many small shops and cafes nearby. The staff helps with suitcases, for which we thank them (the hotel does not have an elevator). This is where the advantages end. The biggest problem of the hotel is the old, tired, falling apart rooms. Closet doors fall out and no one fixes them. The air conditioner leaks into a carefully placed mayonnaise bucket, the towels are very old, the furniture in the bathroom is broken, wet and warped. The cleaning is disgusting. Dust as thick as a finger. Some kind of powder was spilled on the bathroom shelves and lamps. The glass doors of the shower and the tiles have never been washed; they have old lime stains and traces of soap. The numbers just scream - wash and fix me! Seating area inside, next to the breakfast room. also dirty. Glass tables are stained with grease, hands stick to the surface. The ashes lie for 3 days, no one will even shake them off. And this despite the fact that the breakfast room employees themselves regularly go there to smoke and see all this. No breakfast. What struck me the most was the breakfast bread, which comes sliced in bags like a horse bag. Old, stale pieces are displayed and displayed day after day... There is no toaster... And this despite the fact that the bread in Istanbul is delicious and costs a penny! Istanbul is beautiful, I wish the hotel new management who will turn this mansion into a clean, tidy piece of candy!

Where can I start about this hotel the day we got there received by hotel manager ismail he was very helpful person then they took us to our room right on the top floor 5th no lift rooms were big but outdated dirty mouldy apart from that room the location is good and special shout out to Ayman at the breakfast wonderful person and Mehmet and Abdullah

My mum and I booked at the Villa Paradiso which is the sister hotel at the back of this hotel. Upon arrival we found we were on the ground floor (which we arent keen about) so the manager Dogan was more than happy to give us a room in the Fuat Bey, Now I will first we had an excellent stay here and Dogan was so kind and accommodating, even somehow noticing it was my birthday that week and had house keeping leave me cakes and fruit in the room as a surprise, how attentive! He was also warm and happy to give us advice and chat. The room (3 berth) was spacious and nicely decorated, house keeping came often and tidied and made the bed. Which I must add was such a comfy bed!! My only criticism was the bathroom desperately needed an upgrade.. it was real let down and I shared this with Dogan. The breakfast was plentiful but the same every day and not the best of options. They will make an omelette and eventually understood the request for boiled eggs! The bread was fresh & yummy. The staff member Sadullah would always happy to help with the biggest smile. The interior of the hotel is lovely if you have time to sit in the lobby and they also have a decent back patio with foliage. Overall its definitely a 3 star, great value for money but not top notch. But for a city break where you dont spend too much time in the hotel its perfect. Its also very close to the Aya Sofia (dont forget a head scarf) and Oblisk, just over 10 minutes walk but you will have to slog up a very very steep road. Make sure you check out Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower and jump on the ferry to Kadikov when food and souvenirs are mucccch cheaper.
