They mandatorily took my car for valet parking when I arrived for the night. The next morning, they crashed my car in front of my eyes while hotel driver was pulling my car from the parking spot. I learned that the licensed valet driver was sent for to an airport pick-up and they had their waiter from their restaurant to drive and pull the parked cars for that time period. The waiter literally didn't know how to drive. He stopped my car 2-3 times on the street. The hotel manager funnily offered me to pay $30-$60 to fix my car or asked me to leave the car at their place and they’ll get it fixed. My bumper and front right-light had deep scratches, bumper offset from the body that I need to take my car to a body shop. On top of this incident, they charged me $55.06 for the extra bed they brought to my room for my 14 y.o. son even after I paid $429.98 for the room for two nights. Their rooms are very small. Breakfast is not free and overcharged compared to restaurants around. I don’t recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Letting customer’s car drive to a person who doesn’t know how to drive is not an accident! It is lack of responsibility. Under their management logic their valet driver may cook your food at your stay, be careful!

The location of the hotel is unbeatable, at the foot of a promenade in the heart of the Bosphorus Strait. Nice area to take a walk or even go for a run. It is far from the historic center of the city (about an hour by taxi, considering the usual traffic), but there are quite a few restaurants in the area. The room is perfect, and with nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. The service from the receptionists is also good.

We left Istanbul to spend just one night at MFB My Finest Bosphorus Hotel. We had been invited to a Wedding to be held at nearby Izoletta – a magical, rural, wedding venue. We booked a Special Deluxe Room with Bosphorus view, wanting to stay in the same hotel as the wedding party. This charming “olde worlde” hotel stood just over the road from that great restless swell of water that is the Bosphorus. Our elegant room was number 106 and on the corner with a slender balcony and a great view. I am guessing that 106, 206 and 306 were the best rooms along with the three front facing rooms in the same category situated at the opposite corner of the building. In fairness, we arrived late at the hotel and had to hurry to get ready for the wedding and the next morning we had a taxi booked to take us back to Istanbul so that does impact on the review. We did not really have time to relish our environment. I cannot say whether the hotel is or is not well-located as we were not there long enough to make this assessment. The bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom and we had a lovely breakfast of good coffee, fresh fruit and sweet rolls before we left, sitting out front enjoying the sunshine, the breeze and the waves. This is an old-fashioned hotel but with appealing faded glory and an air of nobility. The staff grappled with English at times but really, truly tried to be helpful. Perhaps the feeling of being off the usual tourist grid added to the piquancy of the setting. If the excitement of travel is about the “otherness” of places and bases then this is a gracious if rather anachronistic stop over.

The view of the rooms is so beautiful, the staff welcomed us very warmly, the lady manager was very attentive, the waiters were very educated, they made us many mixed teas, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The only thing was there was no alcohol :(

I arrived with -3º outside and snowing. In the rooms the heating did not work, and to further discomfort, the windows do not close properly. Cold in the room was terrible. After complaining 4 times, I was able to get a small radiator, but I still didn't get a warm sleep.

I was sent an email by the hotel staff ahead of my check-in letting me know that singles could not be allowed to stay within the hotel, however they ended up letting me in. Thank you for this. The next day on my check out I was told by the gentleman at the reception that the hotel was designed for rather conservative/religious individuals at my big surprise. I thought that Turkey is rather a secular country though. Of course I will take their message into account and no longer consider nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Besides this, the establishment is clean nicely located. The heater is not covering the bathroom area though and this is not convenient on a winter season. Good luck with your divisive and conservative approach.
