Seaside Inn - Isle of Palms

Mostly shabby looking, no pride, toilet bowl sitting in parking garage, peeling paint in bathroom, peeling paint on decks, rusty steel bases for the beds, pretty much a below average, never again visit by us

Paid almost 1k to stay here, and all I can say is I feel overcharged. I debated posting this as the staff were super nice and accommodating. The accommodations themselves could use a pick-me-up. We stayed in room 211, and as soon as we opened the door, the room had a slight odor, nothing that couldn't be overcome with a decent candle. As my wife and I wiped down the room, I noticed the headboard was beat to hell, and it disgusted me. I didn't even want to touch it. We decided not to make a huge fuss about it, but it made me notice the wear and tear on the room even more. The peeling caulk and paint in the bathroom, the grout separating from the tile, and the rust on the toilet handle. I made a mistake that actually saved me. I didn't book enough dates on my initial booking, so I added another day. The staff were very accommodating, but we had to move to room 309 for our last night's stay. 309 had the same decor as 211 but way less ware, which made the final night bearable. Will we return to IOP, for sure but staying here in this "jazzed up" Motel 6 is gonna be a no for us.

The room we were given was a wreck. The fire alarm went off all the time. the blinds were trashed. blow dryer didn't work. room was damp and smelly. When we brought this to the attention of the young man in the office he said he could move us to another room if he had to. he did NOT want to be there. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Stay elsewhere. We paid full price for a terrible room and an employee that didn't care to be there. What a joke

We have stayed at Seaside Inn several times over the past few years. The staff is very nice and professional. Front desk always answers questions, provides information and directions for various activities. Our refrigerator was not getting cold, within 15 minutes of reporting maintenance was there with a brand new replacement. Yes the rooms are a bit small, it is an older property but with great prices. Highly recommend.

So gross. This was our second stay, and it was worse than the first. We won't make the mistake of booking here again. Old is okay; run down, dirty, and poorly maintained is another thing all together. Most uncomfortable bed ever. The proximity to the beach isn't worth the ick factor. It kind of looks like a crime scene.

This is hotel is not worth the price of $373 per night. The rooms are small and outdated and the TV reception was not good with very few available channels. The available parking was absolutely the worse. The hotel housekeepers were the only friendly staff. The breakfast is the only thing that is worth mentioning besides the great access to the ocean. The outdoor pool is very small and only 3-1/2 feet deep. We called before we arrived to find out where to park for check-in and were told by the reception desk to park in the loading/unloading zone parking for check-in. Well, I received a $200 violation ticket for parking in the loading zone and have currently appealed it. It is very noisy late at night and they need blackout curtains over the blinds. I will not stay at this hotel again....and I urge everyone considering a stay there to do your research.
