The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were lovely. We had a spacious sea view room, which I can recommend. A couple of niggles unfortunately:- The main one was the bed - it was VERY firm. Far too hard for my petite, not so young frame I am afraid. They couldn't provide a topper to make it more comfortable for me unfortunately. Even my husband was finding it uncomfortable by the end of the night. The shower was indiosyncratic - I could't get it to change from bath mode to shower mode so had to have baths - no real hardship on a weekend away. We enjoyed the time we were there and on Bute but had to cut our stay short and leave in a hurry due to the weather causing the ferries to be cancelled on the day we were going to leave. We hope to be back.
