Islander Resort

Perfect stay. The resort, the room, the staff, the activities all were fab. We are already trying to plan when we can visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Islander Resort. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and offers so many great amenities. We especially enjoyed the mini golf, basketball court, complimentary fishing poles and bait, the beautiful pier, and the excellent restaurant and bar. The staff was consistently friendly and welcoming, and our room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well appointed. I only have two suggestions that I think would make the guest experience even better. First, there is only one mirror in the room, and it’s located in the bathroom. For families or multiple people getting ready at the same time, this can be challenging. There is plenty of wall space just outside the bathroom where a full-length mirror could easily be added. Even placing one inside the spacious armoire-style closet would be a great solution. Second, while the mini-split air conditioning system cooled the room extremely well, the fan speed appeared to be locked on high. The unit blows directly toward the bed, and without the ability to reduce the fan speed, it can become a bit uncomfortable while sleeping. Having the option to adjust the fan speed would make an already comfortable room even better. Those are truly my only suggestions. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would absolutely stay at the Islander Resort again. It’s a beautiful property with outstanding amenities, and we look forward to returning. I hope you’ll consider adding a second mirror to the rooms, as I think it would make a noticeable difference for families and groups traveling together.

From the moment we arrived at Islander Resort, we knew we were in for something special. While our first night didn’t go as planned, what truly stood out was how quickly and genuinely the management team stepped in to make things right the very next day. That level of care and accountability speaks volumes. This resort is truly a slice of paradise, beautiful oceanfront views, gorgeous rooms, bungalows facing the pristine private beach, multiple pools, lush tropical grounds, on-site dining, and endless activities that make it impossible to get bored. Whether you're lounging by the water, enjoying a cocktail at the bar, biking around the property, or just soaking in the peaceful island vibe, there’s something for everyone. Although we weren’t able to kayak or fully enjoy the beach due to sargassum during our stay, it just gives us the perfect reason to come back and experience it all next time! But what made our stay unforgettable was the PEOPLE. A huge heartfelt thank you for superb customer service and for being such a kind, dog-loving resort family; it meant the world to us traveling with our pup. Angela, Dolce, Vanessa, Josh, William, your love for animals and leadership clearly shines through your incredible team; your attention to detail, warmth, and friendliness elevated our entire experience. Charlene, our incredible server at the Tides; you have a wonderful future ahead, thank you for all the love and attention you poured out to us and Bane! You didn’t all just meet our expectations; you exceeded them. We truly could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary, and we are already looking forward to coming back in September to celebrate a birthday! Food for thought; the yellowtail snapper fish sandwich at the Tides was incredible! A highly recommended dish! Compliments to the Chef! ‍

The Islander Resort in Islamorada exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived William was so helpful with everything, and friendly staff all around. Our room was clean, updated, and comfy, and the private beach/pool area was perfect for just chilling out. Watched the World Cup with a perfect piña colada. Laidback barefoot vibe, but still felt luxury. Will be back!

I always love my time at The Islander. The staff is welcoming and always seem happy to be in paradise. The food is always delicious, fresh and beautiful! Comfy beds, soft towels and great amenities including mini golf, kayaks, pickleball and many other activities that are included. I take advantage of the yoga classes in the morning and then go for a ride on the complimentary bikes.

This hotel was just amazing! Our room was so lovely and the bed comfortable! We had such a great stay. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Vanessa helped us choose local spots to go eat and was genuinely so helpful navigating around the Keys. The pool and bar area was so much fun. They had great food at the Tides! The front desk staff were also so friendly and helpful. We were sad to leave!!!

My wife and I love the Islander Resort! We were married there in May of 2025 and had a wonderful time. We just celebrated our first anniversary there and again we had a fabulous time. We loved the room that they assigned us to and the proximity to everything. The resort grounds are full of meticulously maintained tropical plants and trees that give a nice Caribbean feel. All of the staff that we had contact with were all super friendly and helpful. We also are very grateful for the special treatment we received as returning newlyweds, thank you very much! The Islander Resort is our favorite resort!
