Santa Cruz Island Hotels with Airport pickup service

As you leave the bus(y)ness of Puerto Ayora, you enter this beautiful oasis called Hotel Galapagos Suites. This is my second time visiting here and, this time, my partner and I stayed for a week. Joseline and her daughter have built this special place with love. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. Breakfasts made by either Joseline or Douglas, in the tranquility of the garden, were a wonderful treat. The hotel team goes the extra mile (and more) to make reservations and recommendations to make your visit memorable. I have stayed in countless B&B’s, Inns, hotels etc throughout my travels and this place is in my Top 3 in the world. I would love to come back and stay a third time. This place is magical and has left us with wonderful memories again. Thanks!!!!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The real pluses are the fantastic pool area, very clean with large variety of loungers and great Jacuzzis (albeit a bit hot) The other real benefit if the great location, 5 minutes walk to town and restaurants, but very quiet and secluded in lovely garden areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is brought to you and pretty much the same each day but perfectly adequate. The only reason I would not give a 5, is that the rooms are a bit basic and feel quite tired. The bed is huge and bedding is very clean. There is however very little storage space beyond a small rail and only one towel hook in the bathroom. The AC however is very efficient.

Superb accommodation! 2 separate rooms each with a bathroom. Spacious, verandah overlooking an immaculate pool. Included tasty breakfast served beside the pool. Games room/ gym available. Only draw back its 15 minute walk to town. But taxis are $2 and plentiful.

The location is very good and the facilities are rudimentary. Standard like fisherman

Based on the price of 2000+ RMB one night, I expected very high before I checked in, but I was relatively disappointed after I checked in. It was probably too close to the sea. The room was very humid and there were many sanitary corners. The staff could not speak English. Google Translate communication. The hotel has an infinity pool connected to the sea, but because you need to participate in various day trips during the day, there are various water-wading activities, so you don’t have the mood to go to the pool to take pictures at night when you return to the hotel. I want to go to bed immediately, because the next day is likely to get up early. The only relatively good thing is that the hotel can provide free laundry service, but the washing machine for washing clothes is very difficult to comment on, and the cleanliness is definitely unbearable. In addition, I am afraid that all kinds of bugs and amphibians are recommended not to live, because there are various insects I know and don’t know in the room these days, as well as creatures such as gecko and small cockroaches, and then, I first knew that the room gecko can make a sound, Especially when the night is quiet.

Espana is centrally located in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, Galapagos, close to bars, restaurants, shops, waterfront, pharmacies and medical facilities. I booked tours through the hotel which worked out very well, and the hotel suggested that I do the Santa Cruz Highlands tour (including El Chato Tortoise Reserve) en route from the airport as a combined transfer/tour. This was a great suggestion as you basically drive through the highlands coming from the airport anyway. Breakfast was included and delivered to my table each morning. On one morning, I had a boat trip to Bartolome island booked (on board schooner Nautilus - highly recommended), and the hotel receptionist met me at the hotel at 5:45am and walked me to the pickup location with her dogs. Wifi is terrible - as it is everywhere on the island (I tried every bar I was in) - can't even upload one photo! But its not the hotel, it's the whole island. Very happy with the experience overall. Hotels can be expensive here - not a bad spot to reign in the budget and splurge back on the mainland.
