Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa

Stayed 5 nights at Villa Del Palmar ("VDP") over spring break 2025 Friday to Wednesday. Two Chicago families, friends not relatives, 4 kids in one family 3 in another all seven ranging about annually from 8-15. VDP had larger residence options which was the primary reason for booking. In a sentence, this was top three in vacations I’ve ever had in terms of luxury accomodations and service. Pretty sure it ranked for the rest of the crew. We booked a 3Br Residence for 8 of us and a double queen studio room for 3. TLDR Book this place if you’re looking for family luxury, not college party, not adults only, and not retirement living. Excellent food, spacious and opulent accommodations, top shelf drinks, and amazing service. Every service provider (butler, porter, pool attendant, waiter, bartender, housekeeper) greets you with a smile and a hand over their heart. Location is not the hotel zone so it is much quieter and has the added tourist advantage of being close to Isla Mujeres though the ferry out of Punta Sam is a freight ferry and runs much less often than that by the hotel zone. Service / Butlers Butler service came with the Residence. Had no clue how a butler could help. Only so many times someone can open a door for you. Having enjoyed their service, they killed it from the jump. Walked in and our biggest priority was getting the studio as near the residence as possible. Oscar, the head butler and Arad, our junior/daytime butler, handled that very well. Kept us fed, entertained and hydrated while they figured out options. They ended up upgrading the studio to a 1BR King Suite with a rollout and separate living room/kitchen for the 3 in in that room and the rest of us landed the 3BR residence on the second floor, more later. Rafael signed on after a shift change that night. He was our older, more seasoned and super chill option, for the evenings. The combo was great. We connected with the butler service via WhatsAPP. Need something? Text them. We swapped out bottles of liquor depending on what was flowing, kept both rooms stocked with water bottles, ice and limes. We never lifted a bag except to pack and unpack, never saw a reception desk, and never dialed room service. We just texted them and they made the food appear when we wanted it. Need pool chairs, beach beds, hot tub low on water, change dinner reservations, get a rollout bed, toilet paper? Text Arad or Rafael. Highly recommend and well worth it. Treat them well. I tipped heavily, $50 I think with the first handshake to each of Arad, Oscar and Rafael. Never saw Oscar again until the end but he made the room selection happen. After that, included at least $20 with every other handshake. Nobody ever stopped smiling. I carried Pesos for this, just thought better etiquette but USD fine too. You get what you pay for. Room The 1BR Suite alone was amazing but the 3BR residence was epic! Huge, well appointed, clean, and little things like a fancy chocolate palm tree

This was our second time staying at Villa Del Palmar Cancun and the first as members. We love this place. The staff is the best and take good care of you. It is a really relaxing. We also love trying all the restaurants at the resort. The food is amazing. We had our 28th anniversary while at the resort and the staff did some special things for us. I will share some picture. We are looking forward to a return visit, but also checking out other Tafer Resorts.

Jared, Alejandro, and Raul at the Elite pool were amazing and took wonderful care of us. Octavio at the front desk was always helpful when we had questions. Bianey at the lobby bar at Garza Blanca was lovely and a familiar face from previous trips. We really can’t say enough about how attentive and friendly the staff are. I can’t imagine ever needing to stay anywhere else!

My family and I visited Cancun in June 2025 for a week, and stayed at Villa Del Palmar. This was our second stay at this resort. We stayed here 12 years ago, and although we have vacationed in Cancun and stayed at other resorts between then and now, none of the others were as good as Villa Del Palmar. Therefore, we were eager to return to this resort, and we are extremely glad we did. We chose the all-inclusive package again, and it was great. The accommodation was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable. We had a beautiful 2-bedroom suite on the eighth floor with a spectacular view of the ocean. The restaurants were excellent and the food was superb (as expected). However, what sets this resort apart is their staff. They are efficient, competent, eager to help, and they are unfailingly friendly. We were particularly impressed by our butlers - Rafael and Arad. They went out of their way to ensure that we were well taken care of, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out and boarded our airport shuttle. They even made sure that dinner reservations were made for us at the different restaurants, and they reserved cabanas for us at the pool and beach, so we never had to wait in line. A special shout out to both Rafael and Arad. We would also like to recognize Selene Castillo from the housekeeping department, who went to great lengths to keep our suite meticulously clean and well-stocked - a heartfelt thank you to all of them. Bottom line: We are very glad we chose to return to Villa Del Palmar, and we can't wait to go back.

We had an amazing experience. We spent all 4 days on the beach and Enrique "Tabasco" took really good care of us every single day. He brought our food and drinks. It was such a good time he was very funny and friendly. The pools were cool and relaxing as well. We had a 2 bedroom room and it was beautiful the staff came and refilled everything everyday. The breakfast to our room was delicious. The day before our last day the breakfast took a really long time to come. The supervisor came and personally apologized and set up for our last morning for the breakfast to show up right at 8. Definitely recommend staying there.
