Atrium Hotel and Suites DFW Airport

Location: Proximity to the airport, nearby shops, and convenient transportation.

We stayed for two nights, and while we chose this motorway hotel purely for its convenient location and the need for a place to sleep, there are some aspects that are worth mentioning — both positive and negative. The interior design, especially in the reception area, was frankly quite unappealing — even by American standards. The style seemed entirely devoid of aesthetic sense. The central hall was vast, with rooms opening onto large enclosed balconies facing the reception and the bar/restaurant area. A few plants or lamps on those balconies could have softened the cold and overwhelming impression, but as it stood, the space felt stark and impersonal. Breakfast was served near the swimming pool, which was not a pleasant experience. The area was cold and noisy due to a very loud air conditioning system. It felt messy, dark, and uninviting. Despite the dim lighting, it was still obvious that the dark blue tablecloths were quite dirty. On the positive side, the rooms were pleasantly spacious and included a small kitchenette, which added convenience and comfort to the stay. Overall, the hotel serves its purpose if you just need a bed for the night — but don't expect charm, atmosphere, or attention to detail.
