The Frobisher Inn

Did not see the location for the family restaurant. We accidently made our way to the bar and grill. Security was kind enough to show us the other restaurant.

Good Stay Stayed here 3 nights while visiting for work. I enjoyed how the hotel was connected to a pharmacy/grocery store and had two restaurants plus a cafe inside. It was the dead of winter so I appreciated not having to go outside to grab a meal. I tried both restaurants and they were quite good, one is more of a bar/pub food with events during select nights. The room itself is quite large and cozy, it is definitely on the older side but it was still clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant, and there is also a movie theatre inside the hotel if you are looking for some entertainment!

Best food in Iqaluit.

The staff are what make this hotel so special. Their kindness, dedication and willingness to help really stands out. I was lucky enough to be welcomed by Anna at the front desk and I felt so well looked after. Some other amazing staff were: Waseema Grace Robbie Ishmail To name a few. If you want great service from people who really care, visit the Frobisher Inn.

Very good customer service, friendly and helpful. A big thanks to: Sharon, Jimma, Anna, Michelle, Ismael and Alona and Ramiel in housekeeping. It's a great venue with a cinema, supermarket, tech store, pharmacy, post office, hotel restaurant and bar and grill ALL in the same block. Restaurant staff were friendly and polite and serve delicious meals. I felt safe and warm and really enjoyed the ambience. I highly recommend a stay at The Frob

I chose Frobisher Inn for the convenient location to sites I wanted to walk to in Iqaluit, as well as amenities (two restaurants, one café, and a grocery all in the same building). The staff here are incredibly friendly, polite, and cheerful. The room I have is on 5th floor, and has a comfortable bed, business-friendly desk, and clean bathroom with toilet, bath, and shower. The hotel is overall good, but a collection of odd paradoxes. Heat in the room was barely sufficient, but the duvet was remarkably warm and kept me comfortable. The water out of the tap is surprisingly good. The Frob Kitchen & Eatery had good food and super-friendly service, but is closed on Saturdays (strange). The grocery store in the building can be accessed from inside the hallway by pressing the call button; they have (typical for Iqaluit) high prices but decent selection. The microwave did not work, but I did not want to delay my time requesting replacement of that; not important enough to complain about. One of my pillows has what appears to be a permanent stain, but the linens smell fresh, and passing a housekeeping cart, I could see they replace duvet covers and sheets. The room was overall clean, but has the look and feel of a somewhat dated Travel Lodge or Red Roof Inn. Remember this is an extremely small town (only around 8000 people) and so you should not expect big-city quality and amenities, in general. I am glad I stayed here and would stay here again. The super-friendly service makes up for any shortcomings.
