everything was ok

I had a room reserved for two nights but my flight in Athens was delayed, so only stayed one night November 2024. My room was on the third floor with a great view of the lake and mountains. I did have an issue with the keypad to my room door, but the staff were very helpful in getting it fixed. My room had a safe and nice bed. Because I am from the States I was not able to find where the heating system in my room was, I did not think it would get cold at night during the fall season, so I had to ask my friend to come pick me because my room was very cold and the staff is only site until 4pm, that I could not sleep in a cold room all night so I was not able to have breakfast. If you are from the states and stay at this hotel during the colder months, and you do not know the European heating system, you might want to reach out to the staff and ask them before they leave for the day. If you do their self-check in after hours, you will need to call the hotel to get the code to the main door and your room door as there is no 24-hour lobby staff on site. This hotel is right across the road by the lake and within walking distance to a supermarket. Be aware that there are dogs in the area that barking might be an issue at night. This hotel is not close to the city center, but you can still walk to it, just make sure to have good walking shoes. If you are also from the states, you might want to make sure you pay for your room as early as possible because I had an issue trying to pay for my room because the link the gal provided to me was not working for me, I do not have a EU bank account and did not understand their banking system. I had to call my bank to notify them so they could remove the security alert in order for me to pay the hotel because the charge was coming from Greece. $ U

Too noisy. My stay here was near perfect except for one thing, the noise into the early hours for 4 of the 5 nights of my stay. I really cannot explain the banging, scraping and all manner of noise seemingly from the room above. This kept me awake until at least 1.30 am and impacted on the quality of my visit to the area. It was as if furniture was being constantly dragged around the room. Why would any other guest behave in this way ? I have stayed in many hundreds of hotels and NEVER encountered anything like this. I have doubts as to whether the same guests would be staying as long as I did ( most people seemed to stay 1 night) so that makes it even more strange. Apart from this I would have been delighted with my choice. Lovely room , lake view, albeit between the trees, good wifi and nice breakfasts.
