In July 2025 we spent 4 nights at this lovely B&B. It was the best decision we ever made in selecting our accommodations over our many years of traveling. Brenda and Roger were so kind and welcoming right from the start. You could tell that having a B&B was something they both absolutely love doing. Every detail was thought out and implemented with perfection in order to enhance their guests experience. The dining area had a picture window with views overlooking the Gulf of St Lawrence. A different freshly prepared hot breakfast each day including yogurt , fruit salad and homemade blueberry scones were absolutely delicious. Soft background music and a small screen with Rogers pictures streaming by of local sites , scenic sunsets and area wildlife to enjoy during our breakfast. Many hummingbirds enjoying their breakfast as well from a bird feeder secured to the picture window. There are only 2 guest rooms so our stay was very private and personalized. The location of the Yellow Sidecar B&B was perfect for exploring the Cabot Trail and the surrounding areas. They provided information and suggestions that was so helpful in planning out daily activities. So accommodating in letting us use their boot dryer to dry our wet hiking shoes. If ever in this area again I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Brenda and Roger for making us feel like family! Wishing you both only the best! With gratitude, Annmarie & Miguel

In the current times of airbnb keyless entry and AI trip planners we need to remember and appreciate that there are no substitutes for real people to elevate a regular vacation into an unforgettable one. Brenda and Roger are so kind, interesting and unforgettable hosts in their beautiful historic B&B home. They know so much about the Cheticamp area to enrich your travel experience and share stories, ideas of places to go, things to do, and will show you around the nooks and crannies of the area that one may otherwise drive by and not notice. The breakfasts are beautiful, thoughtful and so delicious and with such personal details. I will not forget this special vacation that I had with my daughter and I want to thank Brenda and Roger for everything that they did to help us feel so welcomed, relaxed and comfortable during our stay in Cheticamp. It is an incredibly beautiful area in Nova Scotia and the hiking in Cape Breton Highlands National Park coupled with the stunning sunsets are incomparable. Thank you again !!!

Wonderful proprietors, location, breakfast. Brenda and Roger made us feel at home in their cozy B&B. The accommodations were very comfortable and the view from the property is fantastic. We enjoyed a wonderful, home made and different breakfast each day before heading out for hiking and sight seeing around Cape Breton island. There was an extra sitting room inside, next to the bedroom with a couch, TV, and fire place. The front porch is a nice place for watching sunsets or just watching the waves.

We spent the last 2 nights of our 5 night stay in Cape Breton at Yellow Sidecar and it was a perfect experience. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful view of the ocean, breakfasts were all 10/10, and the location was great with several restaurants within 20-30 minutes. To top it all off, Roger and Brenda are the sweetest people and fantastic hosts. They welcomed us and made us feel at home, offering suggestions for things to do, calling restaurants for reservations, and truly going above and beyond what we expected. The 2 nights we spent with them were our favourite nights of the trip. You will not find a better spot to start or finish your trip around the trail. We will definitely be back in the future! -Danny and Sera

Brenda and Roger are the perfect couple to run a B & B. They know and love their town and the history of so much of Nova Scotia. Making sure we had everything we needed for our stay - delicious breakfasts, lovely room, and even an ice pack for my knee! They have led, and continue to lead active, interesting lives which we loved hearing about. The view of the ocean was spectacular and provided one of the longest and most colorful sunsets we've witnessed in a long time.

Roger and Brenda were excellent hosts and the breakfasts were extraordinary . They helped us sort out trips and recommended restaurants. We learnt about the history of the house and the yellow sidecar. The go to place on Cape Breton Island just delightful.
