Very good on a budget value for money, showers are a bit ordinary would be my only criticism.

Great A9 stop Needed a quick ‘pit stop’ along the A9 so chose here as it couldn’t be more convenient! Busy place on a Saturday evening but quickly welcomed and told I had the ‘cottage in the car park’ which it literally was. Externally it looked a bit tired, but inside it was large and clean. It doesn’t have any view (one small window) but you’d only see the car park anyway! I thought I might find it a bit noisy but it didn’t become a worry as most cars had gone early. I had a meal in the pub which was good ‘pub grub’ and all of the young staff were good. Breakfast was novel - a picnic hamper outside the door with cereal/pastry and fruit to enjoy in the room - suited me fine. The whole place could do with some money spending externally so it looked as good as the service that is given.

Breakfast turned out to be a food in a bag left outside your room. Decor shabby and dated

We were having a lovely meal but was treated rudely and poorly by our server. She was rushing us and blunt towards each member of the table. Her name was Megan, young girl but should still know manners and if working there for long period of time should know how to treat customers with respect and look after a table. If her first shift or new I understand but the attitude and treatment of me and my family’s was still unreasonable. Will not be eating there again if staff are treating tables like that.

Staff were attentive & obliging. Food was honest & plenty of it. Rooms were clean, but very worn. Shower didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush, no breakfast facilities, only a bag delivered to room. Only decaf coffee in room & no cutlery provided to eat the breakfast.

A fantastic stay but I would like to start with how fantastic the staff where ....Onley really young BUT......Supper friendly, really helpful all with smiles on there faces even though you could see they where run off there feet/ultra busy....... First impressions and all that and they where all a real credit to the place.... Lots o car parking space, Good Wifi, Clean room with every thing you need and a GOOD heater. Comfy bed The food was fantastic supper tasty with nice big portion sizes just what I needed after a day cycling mountains. Beer I would say was standard current price for a Strong beer £6 a pint Disliked · NOT a moan as it was fine ....Just a idea......Breakfast Im not a continental fan ....Not that there was any thing wrong with it and it was nice it was delivered to the room the night before so you could leave real early if you wanted to .......I just prefer a cooked breakfast when away and with how good the evening meal was I was gutted they didn't do a cooked breakfast.

Great spot to stay for travels around the North 500. We had everything we needed for a good night sleep, breakfast in the morning, and dinner and drinks in the bar.
