Fabulous overnight stay. The staff are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, would highly recommend the waffles with bacon and maple syrup. The snug areas off the bar are so lovely and a great place to unwind and enjoy a tipple. We will definitely book here again.

Love this place!! Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Loch Ness and nearby castles. The place is beautiful and charming with lots of historical touches. The staff are friendly and very quick to assist you with anything you need. The rooms were so very comfortable with high quality bedding, very clean and nicely decorated in a way that highlighted the beauty of this building while still having modern conveniences. The meals were excellent and beautifully prepared, served by very attentive servers. We also enjoyed the bar before dinner. The dining room and bar are beautiful but then again, everything in this hotel is! Nigel welcomed us on our arrival and was very friendly and helpful about exploring the area. Don't skip breakfast, the eggs royal were fantastic and the homemade shortbread is the best (IMHO) in Scotland!

Stopped for lunch while travelling to Skye. Although the lunch was enjoyable the staff were abrupt and far from welcoming! They really didn’t appear to want to have guests and I wouldn’t have stopped if it wasn’t for the fact we were desperate! Other visitors were also commenting on the rudeness of the staff. Needless to say we be visiting again on the return journey home.

This is a most pleasant hotel with knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful staff. The rooms are wonderful with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The food in the restaurant was second to none. Breakfast is an experience rarely found.

Go for the food - the Chef & team are really excellent. Breakfasts and Evening meals are really excellent culinary experiences. Beautiful Venison sourced from local estates, Scottish Beef from Local farms here in Lochaber, Fish from Orkney and the Hebrides and Shellfish from Skye, Arisaig and the west coast. And choices for vegan and vegetarian clients too. Wifi is no problem - and we were up in the top rooms.
