Ben raggiungibile con la macchina, l'impatto con il castello è stato davvero suggestivo. L'arredamento è degno di un castello, dalla reception alle stanze. Alloggiavamo in una camera standard: fantastica. Letto a baldacchino, pulizia ineccepibile, bagno enorme con vasca e doccia. Personale gentilissimo e alla mano, splendido il parco attorno al castello, con accesso privato al lago dotato di pontile e barche a remi e attracco per le barche grandi. Tra le attrattive del parco, menzioniamo il campo da tennis, le rovine dell'antico castello e un gregge di blackfaced sheep molto socievole verso gli ospiti. Ottima la cena e la colazione in una sala elegantemente arredata. La stanza della biblioteca e la dining room accolgono gli ospiti per sorseggiare un thè con vista sul lago. Ottimo sotto tutti i punti di vista. L'unico neo: non ha l'ascensore.

Unique and quiet family owned castle from 1866. Lovely place with personalised service. Reel Restaurant included. Enormous garden with medieval ruin of former castle. Hiking trails towards fort William and boat trips possible in the loch.

We love this hotel we had our honeymoon here 34 years ago and have been coming back ever since. I love the ambience and always feel comfortable. My husband is not keen on fancy food and really struggled with the menu this time he especially disliked the bread but he loved the breakfasts. We will visit again of course as the welcome is so friendly.

We liked it a LOT. Friendly, old fashioned hospitality, with super grounds. Ruined Castle near by. Family owned and run hotel. For some reason our seperate 2 nights stay were in more expensive rooms on the top floor. As has been said, no lift/elevator. Our rooms were great dated but good. Number 23 was HUGE with four poster bed, fine view, easy opening windows, bath & shower cubicle. Even electric under blanket, but the hotel is VERY well heated. Food was affordable and good, very fair wine list prices, but better wine glasses would help, and tea cups rather than coffee cans would be better. Good restaurant service, no bar area but affordable drinks delivered swiftly.

We loved our stay here. The room was spacious and perfect for our family of three. The bed was average, but the shower and bath were wonderful. The room was clean and the grounds were beautiful! You can walk to a ruined castle, a loch, or a manicured garden. The staff was friendly.

Dropped in on the chance for morning coffee and cake. Lovely hotel, great views, attentive management and staff. We will go back to them again. Oh, the cakes with the coffee were fab, not the usual slab of sugar some places call cakes! Thank you.

My husband booked this hotel for us to stay for my big birthday... Very unfortunately my husband suffered an accident which meant that I had to go solo - with his blessing of course. This could have meant a pretty miserable birthday except for....the hotel itself, which is my idea of the perfect place to stay, and the fabulous team who treated me to the finest of Highland hospitality. So a very big thank you from me goes to Donald, Tracey, Matthew, Robert and Ellie and everyone not on that list who went out of their way to make me feel special. We will be back.
