We booked in here through booking. Com, when we arrived we weren't made to feel welcome, had to wait for receptionist as there was no one at front desk. Smelt terrible in the lobby at the front desk of strong urine/cat urine. The lady wasnt wearing a mask and we weren't asked for vaccine passes.The room was advertised as a deluxe room, nothing deluxe about it, Bedding and towels looked shabby and unclean, carpet worn and dirty looking, two windows were open with no latches to secures these, felt unsafe. No jug, tea, coffee, milk or cups in room. I didn't even take my back pack off my back. We cancelled booking through booking. Com and left, no refund was given as the hotel was contacted by booking. Com and they claimed we used the shower and the towels, which we did not, not only unfriendly but untruthful people running this hotel This property did not give a good impression of invercargill.
