The Historic Brooks House was built in 1900 and has three suites available each with their own private entrance. We offer guests a private pass-coded entrance to their 3 room suite. Local Tax is already in room price, VRBO will add state tax to your rateThe spaceBuilt in 1900, The Brooks House is one of the oldest homes in Mineola and was completely restored in 2015. This was the residence of The Brooks family who owned the Cotton Gin and Brooks Department store downtown dating back to the early 1900's. The House has 3 suites each with their own private entrance protected by a passcode that guests receive from the owner in advance of their stay. Each suite has a large living room, a spacious bedroom and a private bath. All suites have guest controlled central heat and air. The front suites have direct access to the large porch. Two of the suites have Jacuzzi Tubs. Presently The Brooks Suite and the The Graham Suite are open and available to guests. The Brooks Suite is located on the North side of the house with an entrance on the main porch and was Cora and Barney Brooks bedroom. The dock is shared with the sister property at 169 Broken Bow Lane. Water levels can be a challenge in the inlets, please be sure to check water levels prior to your arrival. The community also includes a seasonal salt water pool and another public boat launch and dock. The oversized living room and open kitchen are perfect for entertaining large families and friends. There is table seating for 12 and additional bar seating for 4. Take your pick of streaming channels with three televisions located through-out the house. Good Wi-Fi connection. The washroom comes with a sink and full size washer and a dryer. Additionally, there is an extra freezer and refrigerator to safely freeze and store your daily catch. The master queen bedroom has a spa like en-suite bathroom, soaking tub and glass shower. Bedroom two is another well appointed queen suite with walk in closet. The third bedroom is set up to be for younger travelers, with a double bed and separate twin bed. The guest bathroom is conveniently located between the two additional bedrooms.The community clubhouse features a salt water pool, several smaller fishing lakes and park like settings.
