Please enjoy our 5BR/3.5BA lake home on a flat lot with year round waterfront. Our home is on lot that is wooded for privacy, but still allows breathtaking views of the lake from the screened in porch, living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. Our large screened porch is just off the living area facing the lake. The screened in porch is perfect for your morning cup of coffee, afternoon naps, to fresh fish being served at the table. We have a grilling deck with a charcoal grill right off the screened in porch. After supper, you will have a blast making a fire in our large fire pit with ample seating for everyone. It's only a short walk to the boat and swim dock. Don’t have a boat? No problem. You can rent a pontoon from Lakeshore Marina. Lakeshore Marina is 1.4 miles from our home. Do you love to kayak, paddle board or canoe? We are in the start of a no wake zone cove. It’s perfect for kayak, paddle boarding or canoeing! You can enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants if you don’t feel like cooking. The Marina as a bar/restaurant. Not far away is Chef Troy’s. Also, the Chevron gas station has one of the best cheeseburgers around! Our lake home (Built & Established in 2023) is a secluded, private retreat with 130' of waterfront. We offer a private swim dock. There are 4 adult kayaks and 2 child kayaks provided for your use. The property itself is almost 2 acres. We offer a four bedroom, 3 bath home which is the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends. This is a 4 bedroom / 3-bathroom lakefront home with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kitchen has a double oven, cook-top, microwave and refrigerator. We also provide a keurig and a few starter pods. Note that the property is located at the end of a 1.5-mile county-maintained gravel road, so your vehicle may get a bit dirty!We supply an initial small supply of basic bathroom amenities, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags are privided to get you stated with your stay. This is a remote and private retreat on the water in a forest, which means there are spiders, spiderwebs outside, wildlife, and insects that you will interact with as they are part of the lake and forest ecosystem, so please prepare your guests.We offer four 10’ Kayaks with paddles as well as 2 smaller child sized kayaks. Check pics for details. The kayaks can be put into the water from the dock or bank at the property. We do NOT have a boat slip or launch from our property for motorized boats. You will need to put in or launch from the public launch at Lakeshore Marina or Corinth Campground. You will be able to tie off onto our swim dock. We are on seasonal water which is spring through summer. There is always water there, but it gets too shallow for boat traffic, kayaking and swimming from September - February. It becomes more of a creek during these months. There is also a full bathroom on this level with plenty of shelf space and a huge shower (both showers in the house have Kohler shower heads with wands to make it easier to bathe kiddos). From this level, the adventurous ones in your party can climb the ladder access for the finished loft, which has four built-in twin beds and a couple of bean bags, along with a TV/soundbar setup that has an HDMI input for gaming devices. There is a removable ladder guard to keep little ones from ascending the ladder.The secluded lower level is where you'll find the master suite, with a gorgeous king bed and private access to the lower deck overlooking the lake. The master bath has a full-size tub and large walk-in shower. The washer and dryer are also found on this level, as well as access to the lower outdoor living area, complete with adjoining fireplace.The lower deck, illuminated at night by string lights, has a large table for outdoor dining, a gas grill, a swing and a private outdoor shower. From here you'll access the 6-person hot tub, set in amongst the huge boulders, as well as the fire pit with a large Solo Stove. The walkway to the private dock, also illuminated with an assortment of lighting options and nearly level with the lower deck during summer months, leads to the double slip dock with lots of water toys, a Hydrohoist boat lift, shaded seating area, and a bunch of Adirondack chairs in the sun. Give us a follow us on Instagram: pt_william_hillside_hideawayA few things to note:For those unfamiliar with Smith Lake, please understand that the lake is located in a rural and somewhat remote area of Alabama; the same qualities that make it so serene and peaceful also lead to it having a bit of an "out there" feel. The roads coming in, especially the last 3/4 mile drive down the hill to our community's gate, are narrow, twisty and most lack stripes. Once inside our gate, the road is a paved one-way loop that's a bit steep and curvy but completely navigable with a 2-wheel drive (unlike some areas of the lake). There aren't street lights here, although we did install landscape lighting to illuminate the pathway and house after dark. The terrain at Point William, like much of Smith Lake, is rugged and steep; our houses here were uniquely positioned at the bottom of the slope right on the water, unlike many homes on the lake on top of bluffs with long walks down to the water. With that said, there are 25 steps from our parking pad to our front door; as mentioned, they are lit and we have handrails along most. You will find that AT&T works wonderfully here, but any other carrier doesn't work once you come down the hill from the pool and clubhouse. The home does offer wifi (via 300 mbps fiber optic), so we suggest guests utilize wifi calling when needed. We do have three outdoor cameras, all motion-detected and provide on-demand viewing by us (Ring system).
