You are welcome to swim in the water, just be mindful it can be quite rocky at times and won't be your typical ocean/beach experience. Also, there is a “beware of alligator” sign on the beach. This was put there by the condo association as a precaution as there have been alligators spotted on the beaches in Southport previously. As with any NC beach, alligators are always possible in the area but we have never seen any ourselves during any of our previous visits nor have any of our guests ever let us know about any encounters.Lastly, please be mindful that our HOA is very strict about no smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) within the condos or on the balcony of each condo. The cottage is located one block from the main downtown area within walking distance of restaurants, shops and inter coastal waterways. Lots of parking. Can accommodate up to 6 cars or 4 cars and fishing boat and trailer. You can sit on the front porch and listen to bands on Thursday night when playing in Franklin Square Park. The cottage will accommodate 5 people. Master queen bedroom downstairs with full bath. Upstairs has queen bed and also a twin bed with trundle with full bath. Includes a fully equipped kitchen with double door refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, disposal and washer and dryer and Keurig coffee maker.
