If you visit over New Years, Halloween, Mardi Gras, or St. Patrick's Day, there are huge festivities happening. If you visit over the winter, there is a ski hill called Terry Peak that has all the terrain from greens to double blacks. Fifteen minutes East is Rapid City which will be the easiest to do all of your grocery shopping, or shopping otherwise. There are even more restaurants there and if you are interested in any nightlife, this is the place you will want to be. There are tons of breweries and some of the best restaurants are Tandoor Bocado, Delmonico Grill, Tally's Silver Spoon, and the Independent Ale House for something more casual.Just up the road toward Rapid City is Johnson Siding gas station. They have a beer and liquor selection, basic gas station foods, and a small pub. A bit farther is Mexico Tipico. These are the two closest places to get food and gas.
