There is a heavy storm proof metal door at the bottom of the stairs that separates it from the upstairs. The door is equipped with two-sided locks and also a latch lock for you to use. All locks will remain locked at all times for your privacy. The upstairs is where me and my roommate reside. No kids or animals stay on this level. So the basement apartment is quiet and comfy.
