Bear’s Den is a 515 Sq. ft. cabin that sleeps up to four people. it is located in the Apishipa River Ranches sub-division in Aguilar Colorado.This is a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Spanish Peaks and Sangre de Cristo mountain range.The cabin is furnished with one queen log bed (Master bedroom/family room) and one full log bed (Private second bedroom). All bedding and towels are provided for cabin guests.The kitchen includes gas stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave oven.Bathroom includes shower, tub, sink and toilet.Dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans provided. Electric coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, outside barbecue grill are all provided for your enjoyment.All towels are provided for cabin guests. Soap & shampoo are provided.In the bedroom/family room, there is a loveseat & 50” Roku TV with high-speed internet.Outside patio table, including umbrella with six chairs. One picnic table to the west of the cabin. Please respect the Wildlife if you encounter them.4 x 4 or AWD vehicles are recommended for early Spring and late Fall / Winter due to possible limited road access from rain or snow falls.There are State parks and National Forest hiking trails, and mountain lakes for fishing within one to two hours from the property.Plenty of sightseeing while driving the historic “Highway of Legends” of Southern Colorado. A quaint little cabin in beautiful southern Colorado. Perfect for couples or small families that want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The cabin will sleep 6, but is more favorable to 5 or less. If you have small children, 6 will work. If you group consists of larger people, you may prefer the Restin' that is up the hill. You may hike around the cabin or choose to somewhere more public like the Spanish Peaks, North Lake, Monument Lake, or somewhere near Cuchara.The cabin has a queen bed in master bedroom. There is a loft that has 4 twin beds as well. There is only 1 bathroom, but we now have a washer and dryer. The kitchen has the amenities that you need to cook. There is also a charcoal grill that may be used. You have 2 places to choose from to have your morning coffee or evening nightcap. There is a covered porch on the front as well as a deck with a wonderful view o f the mountain behind.There is a small living room with a TV, and we now have internet. With Verizon you will have cell coverage. We generally close this cabin from December to March due to having a crawl space and the cost to heating it. Highway 12 will take you over to Walsenburg and another state park, Lathrop State Park.Trinidad has a great live music scene, such as at the Trinidad Lounge or The Well.There are fine art galleries, antique shops and gift shops on Main St. and Commercial St., as well as a first-class museum, the A.R. We have installed a new ceiling fan in the living room and new floors in the kitchen and bathroom. Our cabin also has had new Anderson windows, so you can freely open and close them to enjoy the fresh, clean Colorado air. The cabin has a/c for your summer time comfort. You will have access to the front yard, backyard and deck to enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather. It is walking distance to historic Kit Carson park, and we are just five blocks from the dispensaries, restaurants, and bars on Commercial Street. We are 420 friendly inside and on font porch and back deck. As our guests, you will have sole access to our extra-long driveway. While we love our fur babies, pets are not allowed due to other guests' allergies. Please no tobacco smoking inside.
