We stayed May 2022- two adults and one toddler. We arrived around 415p to check in and our room was ready. We were greeted by a friendly clerk and our keys were prepared. Breakfast on a Sunday would start at 7a and go to 930. We didn’t have a chance to enjoy breakfast but it did smell amazing in the elevator and lobby! We booked a King Suite and it worked well for our family. We have a Slumberpod and Hiccapop toddler bed and there was ample room in the main area of the suite to set up. We had plenty of outlets for the sound machine and crib camera. (It’s been a couple of years since we’ve traveled!) The room was very clean and felt recently remodeled. We were in room 225 and I don’t believe we ever heard other doors close or anyone in the hallway- which was great. All of the front desk staff was friendly and informative. Very adjacent to Legends Outlets- it was so nice to just walk over from the parking lot and know you didn’t have a long walk back. We could have walked to Children’s Mercy Park for graduation but weather didn’t help us out for that. The only “complaint” we had was the parking lot/outside. There’s construction next door and the parking lot is adjacent to an active construction site. We had to circle the property to determine the true front door (the building is marked, but there’s no overhang in case of rain and really not much signage to clearly mark the front door.) I also worried about driving over construction materials. There’s not a consecutive sidewalk around the property and some very blind corners- it was not fun to walk a toddler to the car. It’s not really anything the hotel can help- but other travelers might appreciate the heads up. Great location for the area- we’d stay here again if the need arises. Use Parallel Pkwy instead of State Ave if possible- it’s right there!

Very nice and clean hotel. When we arrived, the pool is closing (only open until 10pm) really hope we made it but well, we need to feed our stomach so we went and get food. Luckily the location pretty strategist so we were able to eat.
They have a welcome drink! Friendly staff.

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Kansas City for our first time, we decided to stay in this hotel slightly out of the city, but we were only ever a 10-15min drive from all the major attractions. The hotel has plenty of parking, and we were promptly checked in by the friendly check in agent. The lobby is very modern, which has a young and fresh appeal – as well as freshly baked cookies which were amazing! The check in girl was so nice, she ever offered to take our bags to the room so we could go straight back out rather than wasting time going to our room. Our room was large, modern, and very comfortable – including a large king bed, sofa (with a curtain that could be partitioned to separate the living room from the bedroom area), desk and full kitchenette complete with utensils, fridge freezer, sink and microwave. The only thing missing was a safe. The bathroom wasn’t the biggest but was modern with a nice walk-in glass shower. The room was very well sound-proofed. Our only complaint was that the size of the TV didn’t suit the size of the room, it was a bit too small. One of the best features of the hotel was the pool area, which had a cool modern vibe with a nice warm heated pool of good size. There were ample good quality chairs and loungers, but the only thing missing which would have made this perfect, was a hot tub! We opted to grab breakfast in the hotel, which was complimentary and sounded really good, with something like over 140 choices advertised. However, the offering was much smaller, with some pre-prepared options, like a sauce and egg biscuit which was very nice. Just sadly not enough of the pre-prepared options, but there were also other hot and cold options. All told it was a nice breakfast, but nothing overly special. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would highly recommend and certainly stay again., We would also definitely look at other Homes 2 Suites when we stay in other locations.

Probably one of the poorest managed hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life. Upon check-in we were checked into a completely dirty room, it was a Saturday night so we went to the bar only to be told the bar was closed because it’s the bartenders day off…. Another party that we were with, was given the wrong key to their guest room and walked in on someone changing. Everywhere you walk in this hotel there are stains on the carpet and the tile. The landscaping is a complete eyesore. You can tell the manager just walks straight from his car into his cubicle passing up, smokers poles that are falling over, stains on the tile, pantry, that is not stocked, and a restaurant that is advertised to be open but it’s the bartenders day off. And if you think you can speak to Dylan at the front desk, think again. His attitude is horrible. This place was cheap for a reason. Do yourself a favor and pay the few extra dollars and stay somewhere else

Our stay was both good and bad. We stayed 3 nights over the Labor Day weekend. The good: Our room was very clean. It was obvious housekeeping cared about their work. The floor felt clean, and there was no dust anywhere. The room smelled fresh but not chemically. The dishes and utensils in the kitchenette were clean and put away nicely. There was even ice already made in the freezer. The bed was very comfortable. There was no smoke smell inside the hotel at all...that was wonderful! In the shower, there are permanent dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (J.R. Watkins lemon basil scent), so unless you have a personal preference, you don't need to bring your own. There is a Walmart next door to the property if you need anything. Property is well lit and convenient to restaurants. The bad: (Nitpicking on my part, not necessarily the hotel's fault, but things you might care about and something management might want to be aware of) While we were there, we saw a kind of sketchy man with an ankle monitor hanging out in the back parking lot with his 3 dogs, 1 puppy, friends and the lady who was the night desk clerk fairly late into the evening. He may have had a legitimate reason to be there, but the ankle monitor and his 2 vehicles with broken out side windows gave off an unsafe vibe. We made sure to park out front after that. The evening desk clerk spent most of her time outside smoking, and on 2 occasions, we actually had to ask her to come in to help us and another guest waiting at the counter. It did get noisy at night with kids running around, and we could hear a large dog or dogs barking and running around upstairs from us. The dishwasher is LOUD, so we stopped running it since it was about 9pm. For the price, cleanliness, comfort, and location, I would stay there again.

Traveling for a Dr appt. And love this HDE! The staff is so polite and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Only complaint is guests who don't close room doors quietly! But hey, no amount of complaining can fix rude people.......
Have yet to enjoy the pool here, I'm always too tired it seems. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! Cinnabon mini cinnamon rolls, yum yum.

Very Good
Well to start off with, it’s really unfortunate considering that my wife and I try to stay within the Choice hotels, and always expected a good stay out of the comfort suites, and this time it was just a huge disappointment. Was full of kids running up and down the hallways. Our room was located right close to the lobby, which means that there were a lot of traffic going in and out of the pool. We are woken up at 5 o’clock each morning with the weight room, which was right next to our bedroom. The room itself was not as impressive as other comfort suites have been. There was a lot of repairs done in the bathroom, and the walls were just putty. It was my wife and I anniversary and we decided to do a staycation choosing this hotel was looking forward to a couple of days of just chilling and unfortunately because the hotel was full of children running up and down the hall starting at 7 o’clock in the morning and we heard them outside our windows and our door all the way up to 11 o’clock at night, honestly we didn’t really get to enjoy the hotel that much we ended up leaving for the day Just honestly a fail. But the top it off, we had brought our dog along, and we knew that there was a dog deposit which we were happy to pay, but they also charged me tax on top of the dog deposit, which has never happened to the 15 years of staying with Choice, or any other hotel for that matter it usually is a flat rate. So to our opinion. It was a waste of points that we have been saving up. And wish we would have stayed at a different hotel.
GGuest UserNice lobby, friendly receptionist but our room's shower was disgustingly moldy. We were given a look at three more rooms to choose from but all were in relatively the same shape. We chose one a ”little less disgusting”. The kicker was...the front desk person and the head housekeeper acknowledged that our original room was one of the worst, yet they still rented it out! I was told, ”well, it is an older hotel”. I'm ok with older, but that does not excuse dirty. Water stains on wall in bed area and a very noisy AC unit just added to the bad conditions. Definitely not worth the price and not what I would consider Holiday Inn standards.
KKimberlyanneThe location is very good, next to the hotel is a large outlet and cinema, convenient for shopping and play. Parking is also convenient. The room is clean and tidy. The price is still very high
3302lindatThis is a small hotel on the western edge of KC. The room was very nice, it was good sized, had a fridge, and a microwave. The beds were comfortable as well. Take note that the door to the bathroom leaves very little room to stand aside when you close it. Sagging body parts are in peril to the door knob mechanism! I misread the sign in the lobby about breakfast times. (Weekends 7-10...weekdays 6:30-9:30) So I arrived before they had set the breakfast up. The desk clerk willingly got me the few items I needed. The parking lot is very small with only one way in and out. If you have a large vehicle or trailer you will not be able to negotiate the parking lot. I’d stay here again.
GGuest UserIt was a good hotel. We got there late and got checked right in. They don’t have a deposit either. The rooms were big and I have no complaints.
