There are beautiful drives toBlack Sands beaches, Clothing optional Kahena Beach and Wednesday Night Uncle Roberts. Hilo has many good restaurants. Richardson's Beach in Hilo is great for snorkeling and Onekahakaha Beach is great for families including small children. Coconut Island is must see.
