Coffee bars on each floor of the house are stocked with coffee, tea, and creamers and supplies. Well water from the tap is purified though a dual water treatment and high density filtration system and tested. The living areas have beautiful views and accommodate eight people with sofas and comfortable chairs as well as blankets, throws, and electric fireplaces to stay cozy. These areas also have books and toys for children and a wide range of books and games for adults. Bedrooms have dressers and closets and stunning views. Bedding includes two Queen beds and one Full bed, as well as three extra large twin bed cots with metal bed frames and memory foam mattresses as well as additional single memory foam beds if needed (all with pillows, blankets, and linens). Air conditioning is in all three bedrooms along with floor fans. Sheets and pillow cases are provided as well as comforters and blankets. A picnic table, Weber charcoal grill, and fire box with Adirondack chairs is located by the creek. Enjoy breakfast or a drink on a wooden bridge over the stream at the opening of the woods. The front porch on ground level overlooks a stream complete with chairs and side tables for dining. The glassed porch on the second level overlooks the mountain and has a table and chairs for a meal with a sitting area and coffee station. Though the grounds are only an hour from Washington DC, Cedarbank feels like a world apart, providing relaxing views and 7 tranquil acres for the perfect rejuvenating country escape.* See notes about our amenities. *THE SPACEYou’ll have access to our peaceful grounds - 7 acres of quiet woodland - with nature at your front step.The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, a modern kitchen, dining room, and large living room with stone fireplace.Outside, you can take advantage of the front patio for al fresco dining, use the grill, or swing in the hammocks. The Appalachian Trail crosses our road just 1 mile north, stellar Linden Vineyards is immediately adjacent, and scenic Shenandoah Valley is 15 minutes away.Dogs are allowed, up to two total per stay. We have cats on the property, so please monitor your dogs while outside.We welcome children of all ages. The cabin does not have toddler safety measures such as locks on low cabinets or outlet covers, but there is a portable crib provided.GUEST ACCESSYou’ll have access to our entire house except a locked garage. There is a barn on the property which is also locked. Otherwise, you'll have access to the rest of the property adjacent to the cabin. We live on the property, too, but are just over a ridge. Please make yourself at home!SOME VERY IMPORTANT NOTESDRIVEWAY: Our driveway is steep and graveled, and can be difficult for small passenger cars to get up especially during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. The country is a wonderful place to relax, but it comes with some challenges, too. INTERNET: Our internet connection is slow. We estimate average speeds to be around 5 Mbps. Email and texting work fine, and Zoom works okay. Sending large files or streaming video may be difficult. TV: We do not have a television in the cabin.GUEST COUNT: No parties, and no additional guests beyond the (up to) 4 guests booked. Guests beyond the confirmed amount will be reported to VRBO (per our local restrictions).SECURITY: One outdoor security camera shows who is coming and going, but for your privacy, only the driveway and front door are visible – we can send you a picture from the camera if you'd like.NOISE: Our tiny valley is very sleepy and quiet. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the calm of the country. We’ll also be your neighbors during your stay. Cedarbank is not a place for parties.
