Two bedrooms on the main floor ( 1 King & 1 Queen) and downstairs, each bedroom has 2 beds, one having a bunkbed full bottom/twin top bunk bed, in addition to the full bed and the fourth bedroom has two Twin beds.This newly remodeled peaceful retreat offers a comfortable stay for larger groups, the deck and firepit in the backyard are perfect for those long summer nights. There are two living rooms, giving the kids their own private gaming area. Enjoy the convenience of the garage to keep toys out of the elements. Parking for trailers is no problem, and several trucks and trailers can fit in the straight, newly graveled driveway. Everything you need is on- hand, linens, towels, kitchen and pantry items, Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer. Guests have full access to the newly remodeled garage and there is an additional fridge in there for drinks or extra fab food you brought up for your large group. This home is pet-friendly as we agree pets are part of the family. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our house. Please note there is a pet fee of $100.00 therefore you must disclose you are bringing a pet. Pets are not allowed on the beds nor the furniture and must be in a crate if ever left unattended..For safety and security purposes, this property is equipped with one outdoor security camera located on the outside of the garage. What a view! Nestled high on the ridge, in Grand Marais, overlooking Lake Superior, this completely remodeled house has real hickory hardwood floors throughout. It has a new cabin feel, all shiplap & tongue and groove walls and ceiling. All new high-end, stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, stove and washer/dryer), quartz counter tops, hammered cooper kitchen sink, and leather furniture, including a pull-out sofa (queen). Bathroom as tub/shower. We offer a selection of K cups for the Keurig or if you enjoy drip coffee we do have a regular coffee maker as well. There are three smart TVs, total with amazon/netflix available. One TV in the King bedroom, one in the main living room and one in the kids living area (that has the pull-out sofa). For as beautiful as this house is inside, the outdoor space is more amazing, platform decks off front and side doors and outdoor firepit . The kitchen, living room and queen bedroom has an amazing view of Lake Superior. Sit on the porch swing and sip coffee or wine all day looking at the beautiful blue hues of the water. Play corn-hole (game provided to use) in the side yard or bring your own outdoor games for the whole family. Plenty of parking room for trucks & trailers. The heated garage has an additional refrigerator and outdoor grill for guest use. Toward the back of the house enjoy a private area for your campfire. There are 3 heat sources for this house. One is 100% off-grid meaning it will work if the case of a power outage.Main source of heat for house is forced air propane. There is a pellet stove both inside the house (optional for you to use) and in the garage as the main source of heat for the garage. We recommend you bring bags of pellets and if you need additional, they can be available for $8/bag.This is a pet friendly property. This house has stairs that are open on one side and railing on the other side. One of the bathrooms is tub only (no shower). Welcome to A Stone's Throw, perfectly located only 1 block away from Lake Superior's agate beach, the sandy shores of the bay and to downtown Grand Marais, Mi. Bring the bikes! Bike up Coast Guard Point, relax on the beach and still have time for day trips out of town. Walking distance to beach, bay and downtown bars. Well behaved dogs are welcome ;) Out the side door of the property is a large deck with a seating for all guests. When it gets close to sunset you can easily walk to the large public deck, to enjoy a beautiful, colorful show in the sky. As night descends some will enjoy hunting fluroscent sodalite-GLOWING- rocks on the beach with UV lights and if the conditions are right, they will also have the opportunity to see a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Four bedooms- all Queen beds, and the master suite as an additional full size futon couch, so easily sleeps 10 persons. Three full bathrooms makes it even better There is a fire pit and we offer free wood to burn. There is a propane grill with a back up tank, just in case. There is a good size lawn for games and a bean bag toss is available to use.Grand Marais, MI has several points of interest, including Sable Falls, Au Sable Lake, Pickle Barrel Museum, Post Office Museum, and the Light Keepers House Museum, in addition there is a self guided walking tour of the town. This location is also convenient for day trips into Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Tahquamenon Falls, Oswald Bear Ranch, Kitch-iti-kipi (Michigan's largest natural freshwater spring), Historic Fayette State Park, and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, just to name a few. The house includes 2 common areas; one with relaxed seating and one that has a dining table that seats six. The adjacent kitchen has a breakfast bar with 4 high top chairs (close proximity to the dining room table), stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Smaller applicances and cooking supplies are provided such as coffee maker, (both Keurig and Mr. Coffee drip), toaster, electric hot water kettle, blender, air popcorn popper, crock pot/slow cooker, pots/pans, silverware, plates, and glassware.Yes there is wi-fi and a smart TV. You can sign in to your Amazon or Netflix, etc. In addition there is a DVD player with a selection of movies. A reasonable amount of paper products and cleaning supplies, including laundry detergent will be made available. Grand Marais does have a small local grocery store, but most guests find it more suitable to bring groceries, especially specific branded items that you will be wanting to enjoy during your stay.
