This expansive 2,700 sq. ft. beach house, within walking distance to world renown Harris Beach and a 5 min drive to our other favorites, Mill Beach. It is the perfect destination for large families, multi-generational trips, or groups of friends looking to escape to the coast. With peeks of the ocean from most rooms, a spacious layout, game room/arcade and a well-stocked kitchen, your next vacation will be nothing short of unforgettable. Downstairs you will find plenty of space to lounge, on the plush couch or on the deck seeing the peeks of ocean. There is one bedroom downstairs with two twin beds. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms each with a king bed. For the kids, there is a large bunk room with 2 sets of twin bunks with a tv set up with a Nintendo switch. This home truly has something for everyone!!!This home is a dog friendly home. All other animals are excluded. Host must be notified of dog(s) at time of booking at which time, an $85 non-refundable pet fee per dog will be assessed. We allow for up to 2 dogs under 50lbs. The dog(s) are never to be permitted on beds or furniture and may never be left alone in the home. LONE RANCH BEACHLone Ranch Beach with lots of tide pools with starfish and other sea life is a four minute drive north.HARBOR BEACHThe magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes south.SECRET BEACHSecret Beach is wild and scenic and it's just a quick 10 or 12 minute drive north on US Highway 101.WHALE WATCHINGResident gray whales can be seen all year but they are more frequently spotted in the summer and fall when they feed closer to shore. REDWOOD NATURE TRAILWalking under the canopy of a redwood forest is like being in a natural cathedral. The mile long and quite walkable Redwood Nature Trail is just 9 miles away. And world famous Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park is just 22 miles south on US Highway 101.WILD RIVERSThe Chetco River, with some of the best salmon runs in the world plus a lot of trout and steelhead, runs right through Brookings. The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first vacation rental .Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another vacation rental . **So Patrick worked out a deal with the owner and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views.
