You may see the host from time to time while using the basement occasionally when heading to or from the lake, as that is the best feature but will never stay there during your booking! There will be posts to auger your personal boat or rental next to the dock as our dock sits on the floor of the lake and cannot handle a boat being tied up to it. The largest river in the area which allows for 150 miles of paddling from Union lake, all the way to where it joins Lake Michigan in St Joesph Michigan. Staying in the winter, you can also ice fish this lake. Want to bring your own boat? Not a problem! Although you won't be able to launch from the property there is a boat launch just up the road from this property. Less than a 5-minute drive takes you to downtown Union City, while Coldwater, Michigan, is just a short 20-minute drive away. Nearby attractions include Five Star Pizza, Mel's Diner, Broadway Grille, and a children's park in town. The Potawatomi Recreation Area offers additional recreational opportunities. Union city damn is just minutes away from this property and also provides ample fishing opportunities. In Athens just 10 minutes away is an alligator sanctuary.
