The stairs to the beach and a few other things are on the list for future improvements, so please don't expect everything to be in brand new shape, but more like a charming country cottage suite on Bainbridge Island with imperfections! You have a queen bed in the separate bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room for sleeping up 4 adults that get along (sleeper sofas has a topper & plywood for individual tastes but not like a real bed!) with an extra charge for more than 2 people. Also a twin-sized air mattress if needed and a fold-out baby crib for the small kids. Your waterfront beach suite is within the Wing Point Community, which is one of the most established neighborhoods on Bainbridge Island centered around Bainbridge’s only 18 hole golf course. You have a lawn outside your double French doors that has a fantastic view of both Mount Rainier, the Olympic Mountains, the Sound with ships passing by as far as the eye can see and Eagle Harbor with the ferry and lots of boats jetting in and out. You can drive in 4 minutes or walk 25 minutes to charming downtown Winslow and the ferry, take a bus to 5 morning ferries and back from 5 evening ferries or call ahead to take a bus to/from anywhere on the island. This is an ideal spot for relaxing, visit with friends and family, explore our beautiful island including use as a stop during boating, live while remodeling or looking for a new house. This 2-story cottage offers a wooded getaway with modern comforts and amenities. Because we open up our property for short periods during the year, please note that during the December/January holidays we have a 14-night minimum & we offer a month-stay discount. We will not be taking any short-stay bookings during the holiday season.The ground floor is an open floor plan offering a full kitchen, living room lounge area, dining area, a laundry room, and access to multiple outdoor spaces. The spacious second floor with vaulted wood ceilings offers a king bed, a full-size leather sofa for lounging, an office area, and a full bathroom. Our lovingly maintained cottage is located on a wooded acre adjacent to our home. You will see trees and greenery from every window. Parking is available directly adjacent to the cottage with easy access to the front door - just 2 steps up. On the back of the cottage is a large outdoor deck. Guests of our cottage will enjoy the feeling of being in the woods with all the urban conveniences of Bainbridge just minutes away. If you are not feeling up for driving to trails, there are trail heads just a few minutes away on foot from the property. Otherwise, great hiking trails are as close as a 5 minute drive. Bloedel Reserve, which is one of the furthest attractions on the island, is about a 20 minute drive. Winslow, the main town area and ferry terminal, is a 10-15 minute drive. Lynwood center is a 4-minute drive and boasts a great range of offerings: casual dining, cafes, a bakery/shop, cocktail bar, and even a movie theater!The cottage can be booked at the base rate for 1 or 2 adult guests.
