The hotel is very new, and the facilities are smart. The beach is beautiful. In addition, sea activities, such as glass bottom boats and snorkeling (requires good swimming skills) are free. The breakfast at the beach rough restaurant is delicious, and the dinner is different every night. My partner and I received outstanding service during our stay at Residence Le Point Choisy in Mauritius. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly exceeded our expectations. Throughout our stay, every member of their staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and cared for. More so I want to extend a special thanks to Yash and Matt for arranging special activities, recommending exquisite dining options and simply attending to our needs with a smile, you both consistently demonstrated a level of professionalism and attentiveness that left a lasting impression on us. We definitely recommend guests to book at their place and we look forward to returning to your beautiful resort in the future and creating more cherished memories.

We had the most fantastic stay over new year. We arrived mid morning and were taken to the lounge , this arrangement seemed a little confused but as soon as we got our room everything fell into place. We stayed in a 2nd floor suite , beautiful room with a fantastic view. Staff were professional , helpful and friendly particularly Ishmail. Amazing new year eve dinner and fireworks. Food in the restaurant was 1st class every night. Only comment the lounge could be better used in the evenings and a little more music round the beach bar after dinner would improve the atmosphere. But small things compared to what the hotel has to offer.

My experience at this small guest house was beyond disappointing and hardly qualifies as a resort. It was the worst accommodation I've ever encountered. I had booked it for my birthday, paying in full for two days. Upon arrival, we were shown to a small windowless room, despite being two adults and my daughter. The room was a mess and without bedsheet and pillows, and when I asked for cutlery to cut my birthday cake in my room, the owner rudely refused, insisting I use their poorly decorated restaurant. This made me feel unwelcome and insignificant. Later that evening, we skipped dinner due to the unpleasant atmosphere created by the owner. Feeling uneasy and disappointed, I decided to leave in the middle of the night and requested a refund. However, instead of cooperating, the owner insulted me, shouting and humiliating me in front of my daughter. It was a traumatic experience. Despite my requests, she adamantly refused any refund, treating me disrespectfully throughout. I strongly advise against spending your money at this place. The owner's behavior was rude, disrespectful, and exhibited a poor colonial mentality. She demonstrated a complete lack of respect for customers, making my stay unbearable. This experience was so distressing that I urge others to avoid subjecting themselves or their families to such treatment.

You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.

We travelled here over Christmas 2024 with our two young children. Veranda Grand Baie was the perfect resort for us. We found it to be authentically Mauritian with the Creole vibe. The rooms were comfortable and provided everything that we needed. In all honesty - we didn’t even turn the tv on because we didn’t need to! We were on the all inclusive package which includes 3 meals a day plus drinks and snacks. The menus detail everything included on the all inclusive. Sometimes there is a small charge to upgrade for example on some cocktails. The house wine was pleasant and the local beer good. Breakfast is buffet style, as was the evening meal. Lunches varied between buffet style and a la carte. The lunches were more westernised menus but were slightly lacking in healthy options with the salad unavailable two days in a row, however they were accommodating and prepared something off menu. The rooms are supplied with comfortable beds, shower room with toiletries provided and also a mini bar in which all drinks are part of the all inclusive. Snacks are additional, but we really didn’t need them! We have been to a multitude of all inclusive around the world and this is definitely one of my favourites. The hotel is small and for me this is part of the charm. It was never crowded in the restaurant (we were there at one of their busiest times over Christmas) and never an issue getting a sun lounger. If you want western food and chips with every meal then this is not the resort for you. If you want authentic Mauritian food, fresh salads and beautiful local dishes then this is absolutely the place to go. They will do pasta and pizza but generally it is more authentic food which was perfect for us! The staff were excellent. They were so thoughtful. Vivek in the restaurant always remembered our 8 year old son’s name and Doushan always remembered where we liked to sit and our favourite drinks. On the first day our 3 year old daughter became unwell (established to be from the plane!). The hotel couldn’t do enough to help, arranging to get us to the hospital and even arranging for a taxi to wait outside for us for several hours. As a separate note - the medical care was exceptional. On our return all the staff (Ajay!) were asking after our daughter and checking up on us and seeing if they could help. We enjoyed the trip on the glass bottomed boat which was included within our stay. This was really good and the children loved seeing the fish and it was beautiful seeing the coast line. The pool was really good and the beach, albeit small, was really nice and was more than big enough for the people within the resort. The watersports centre was great and we enjoyed taking paddle boards out, which was included within the all inclusive. The evening fire show on the beach was excellent. One particular mention is how excellent the WiFi was throughout!! From logging in on devices on day one it never lost network and was sufficient for our kids to comfortably st

The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

I've been there one week ago,from the first day since the last day I've check out,I've been pampered and inpress by the hospitality there.Kimberley at the reception gave us a warm welcome,and whenever we needed any info,she was there to guide us. At the bar there was Lorenza who was very keen and helpful,she was like ”lets give a try to ”ti punch” you”ll like it” and of course,every suggestion she did was niice,and thanks to her team also which was very receptives. Thanks to the animation team also,especially Mr Ravi & Chris who were there and engaged them in playing table tennis and petanque with us, and the Harmony band which gave a very good prestation- despite the sound quality was not that good,the band was playing some very good music. Mauricia for sure is the place to be and a place I will recommend other to go.
