Overall, it feels old and good. Clean and service is good. I was worried that there were many bugs on the island, but there were no big bugs, but on the third day, there were a lot of ants. There was no first and second days, but I don't know why it came out only on the third day. The location is close to the security port, but it is also a hill road and the road is out of the way, so it is not easy to walk. But it was not a big bus stop, but there was a grocery store right in front of you, so it was no problem to prepare for the climb. I don't speak English well, but all the staff are friendly and especially my grandfather at night was really kind.

This is a hotel that must be highly recommended. The hotel is in a prime location, a 15-minute walk from Anfang Port. The transportation is convenient, and the bus station is a two-minute walk away. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the lobby manager enthusiastically introduced the hotel and the activities on the island, and also gave us a Chinese version of the travel guide. Knowing that we were going to Shenwenshan the next day, our breakfast was changed to a bento for free. The thing that touched me the most was that on the third day we went to Pingnei Umi-no-ka Onsen. Because the bus schedule had just been adjusted, we missed the last bus. We asked the hotel for help, hoping that they could call a taxi for us. Because it was already dark, the hotel couldn't call a taxi for a while, so they arranged for employees to pick us up over 40 minutes long distance, and they didn't charge any fees. I was very touched and I would like to express my gratitude again.

This Minshuku is well located on the main road between airport and Miyanoura. If you don’t plan to drive, you can take the bus from the airport and will arrive in about 15 min at the Kokumae bus stop ( bus stop in front of the high school) . The bus stop is just in front of the Minshuku. Bus ride costs ¥200. The overall condition of the Minshuku is good. The double room that we had was about 100 sqft, with a wash basin inside the room which is good. The futon were comfortable and blankets were warm. Toilet and shower are shared but they were very clean. Dining area is nice and comfortable. Dinner is excellent with local food. There is free coffee and tea in the reception. The Minshuku offer rental for hiking shoes if you don’t have any. Overall I would recommend this place for the great location and price.

We absolutely loved this stay and would recommend it to all travellers! We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down. Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find. Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

The guest house was very clean and the staff very kind and pleasant. The incredible and very generous Japanese breakfast, enough to be able to hike for a day So much good from this experience!

Hotel facilities are a bit outdated. Every night there is a tweeter in Shanganfang Village to warn you to be vigilant, and the speaker will play music again at 6 o'clock in the morning every day to remind you not to fall asleep. The hotel does not provide catering. The restaurant and restaurant in Guofu Village will solve the problem by themselves, and the price will be lower. Not very satisfied with the accommodation.

However, due to the characteristics of Yakushima, where it rains a lot, it would be nice if there were tools to dry hiking boots in the accommodation, but this place has a strong ryokan personality, so if you are looking for hiking, it would be better to review other accommodations.

the room housekeeping staff were so nice and kindly, I can't speak Japanese well, and they help me to connect retail car company when I almost miss the flight time. when I had changed my flight ticket, the server help me to connect the rental car company of kagoshima. 1) Paddler services are not widely used in Japan, and I thought that there are few such wonderful paddler services. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. Paddler A, who was indebted to me personally and provided a wonderful service to other customers as well. 2) Regarding meals, the comfortable food menu was sophisticated, and although it was a simple menu such as salads and hamburgers, it was made with great care and was delicious! (There are some other menus that I'm interested in, and I'm looking forward to the next time.) On the other hand, I wondered if there was another menu for creative dishes and breads. (I think there are personal tastes ...) 3) Regarding drinks, there were many local products such as original drinks, and I enjoyed it very much. On the other hand, regarding the serve of wine etc., although it is a luxury hotel restaurant and from 2000 yen / glass, there is no tasting, detailed explanation, follow-up, etc., so I was reluctant. 4) The atmosphere of the room, facilities and amenities (local brands and environmentally friendly products) are also excellent. In addition, two types of soaps were installed, and I was able to choose the scent that suits my mood. However, although the shaver is a high-class item, it is very heavy and not easy to use, so I think it would be more convenient if it was a little lighter and cheaper to use. thank you for helping me!
