"We were pleasantly surprised to find a hot spring bath in our hotel room, though I'm not sure if all rooms have one! The surrounding area is beautiful. Right next to the hotel, there's ziplining, tree trekking, and fishing, which is super convenient. In the evening, you can enjoy the mountain lights. It's also easy to drive to the city for dinner and grocery shopping; it only takes about 8 minutes."

"Highly recommend! We booked this hotel at the last minute because we were worried our flight might be canceled, fully expecting to just cut our losses if we didn't stay. But wow, what a pleasant surprise! The soundproofing in the room is excellent. Even with a lot of foreigners drinking and being noisy outside that night, we couldn't hear a thing from inside our room. The women's spa even has a separate shower and a door that can be closed for privacy. Superb! The toilet wasn't far from the room either, and it was genuinely clean. The next morning, we picked up some groceries from the nearby supermarket and then headed to Setsu. Perfect!"

"The basic price was reasonable, but the service was terrible. The facilities were poor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the door seemed questionable, and the locking mechanism was very old-fashioned, probably because it was converted into a guest room later. There's a huge difference between lake-view and mountain-view rooms, and the front desk said almost all mountain-view rooms were corner rooms. I don't recommend the two-meal plan; although I expected frozen food, it was still incredibly unappetizing. The onsen was old-fashioned, with only one outdoor pool in a wooden hut. You could see the fireworks, but they were obstructed. I went to the lakeside pavilion for a day trip, which had fully outdoor open-air onsens – the facility difference was truly significant. The only thing worth praising was that the service was much better than expected; both the restaurant staff and the various front desk personnel I encountered had excellent attitudes."

"We stayed at Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention and we were truly impressed. We came for skiing, and the location is perfect — just step out of the hotel and you’re right at the ski slopes. So convenient .⛷️❄️ The room was spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The snowy view from the window made the whole experience even more special. After a full day of skiing, relaxing in the onsen was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge. ♨️✨ The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — just a 2-minute walk to the Hirafu Welcome Centre, making it extremely convenient, especially for catching the direct bus from the airport. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, giving us a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, helpful, and made everything very smooth for us. The room was super clean, well-maintained, and came with a washing machine, which was incredibly convenient for our trip. What impressed us the most was their pick-up and drop-off service to the Hirafu Welcome Centre. It made our arrival and departure completely hassle-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hirafu!"

"We had a great stay in Toya! The hotel is conveniently located near both the bus station and the train station, which made traveling very easy. The location is definitely one of its best features. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Just a heads up — there is no private bath in the room, so be prepared to use the public bath/onsen. But honestly, the onsen was very good and relaxing, so it was a great experience. Getting a taxi early in the morning (before 7 AM) can be quite difficult in Toya, so it’s better to arrange your taxi the night before. A taxi from the station to the hotel costs around 2,000–3,000 yen. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing, and convenient place to stay!"

"Lake Toya is absolutely stunning! The lake is incredibly serene, surrounded by majestic mountains, making for a postcard-perfect view. You can enjoy the lake scenery during the day and, if you're lucky to visit during the right season, catch a beautiful night view and fireworks display. There are hot springs, boat cruises, and walking trails nearby, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. Of all the places I visited in Hokkaido, Lake Toya was one of the most memorable. The air is fresh, the environment is clean, and the pace is wonderfully laid-back. I highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone on a self-drive trip. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Overall a great stay. The biggest advantage is the convenience. It is truly ski in ski out, which makes it very easy to access the slopes without needing to travel anywhere. The slopes here are also very beginner friendly. They are not too steep, which makes it a comfortable place to learn or practice skiing. I also took a 2 hour private ski lesson arranged through the hotel. Our instructor, Yuki, was very friendly, patient, and encouraging, which made the learning experience enjoyable. The only downside was the food. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet had quite limited variety, and the taste was just average. Considering the price we paid, the food did not feel very worth it. Overall, it is still a good place to stay if you want convenience and easy access to beginner friendly slopes. Just do not expect too much from the buffet."

Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. "Hotel is indeed old and small but it is clean. You can move the tatami beds around to create more space for luggages. Good location for watching fireworks but unfortunately the night that I am there, it was very foggy to be able to see it clearly. Good cave like onsen. Will come back again for the value of money"
