Guest UserSo beautiful and peaceful place. First time in Tarragona. And we are so happy that we chose this hotel. Petfriendly. And our french bulldog got treats pack that was made by people with disabilities.
Everything was super clean, and the service was outstanding. You can feel the attention to detail in every corner. Would definitely come back!

I got the Hotel El Paso through a roulette deal, and it's my second time staying here... and I still love it just as much!
The place is clean, the decor is really well done and perfectly on theme, which gives the hotel a lot of charm. The rooms are cozy; you feel right at home immediately.
The buffet is good quality despite the crowd: there's plenty of choice, it's varied, and well organized. No complaints there.
The park is really great, and best of all, it's only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which is super convenient for making the most of your stay.
Plus, thanks to the Trip website, I got a great discount, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend it!

The room was very clean, there were two rooms and a living room, the facilities were complete, the bathroom was also very large, I originally planned to stay for one night and now I stayed for two nights. The apartment seat is very convenient to go out at the port. The attractions walk in the past basically 10 minutes. It is a very good hotel apartment. I still want to live in this apartment when I go to Tarragona in the future.

Generally, it was 3 star experience.
Advantages: good cleaning service, buffet food was okay most of the time, hotel is located very close to the sea.
The biggest disadvantage is an “all inclusive”, it is definitely not comparable with Turkish all inclusive. First of all, visitors who paid for all inclusive are not getting anything in mini-bar, not even a water. You can get water from the bar from a water cooler, but you have to have your own bottle. Also, their “all inclusive” does not include a lot of drinks from the bar, and restaurant near the main bar and in front of the sea. The “all inclusive” ice cream is a joke, instead of the normal ice cream you are getting a smallest version of only 2 or 3 basic ice creams, for all other ones you need to pay. Also, the “snack bar” is located outside of the hotel, food itself was not too bad, but pretty basic, the area was very small and near the children’s swimming pool. For the beach towels you need to give 10€ deposit in cash, and if you want sun lounger with umbrella on the beach you need to pay 25€ for one day use. The hotel bar on the beach is also non “all inclusive”.
So, out of all hotel locations you only can use your all inclusive benefit in 2 bars and 1 “snack bar” + buffet.
Overall, hotel is not bad but not good.
Would only recommend to go there with option bed+breakfast, and pay for the rest meals and drinks. It will be cheaper and you will not feel like an outsider or beggar, going around the hotel asking where you can eat. Because that how we felt exactly.
P.S. Russian lady in the adults only bar was providing an amazing service and was very helpful and kind :)

Our stay with Cavallers by Tarragona days was wonderful. My two boys (7 and 9), my wife and I loved the apartment which served us well. The location was perfect - right in the middle of the medieval city with the beautiful church, tons of restaurants and stores, and stunning small streets all just outside our door. Also, it is about a 20 minute walk to a fantastic beach with soft sand and small waves that we had a blast playing in. The management was capable, kind, and responsive. Moreover, I am traveling with my road bicycle and the large bag proved really challenging to fit in our rental car. Cavallers kindly allowed me to store the bag in their office while our family traveled elsewhere in Spain.
Tarragona was a great city and I really how to go again in the future. Will definitely stay with Cavallers again!
Thank you!

On arrival the holiday centre was as photographed on the website, fresh, bright, airy and modernised. Apartments are spacious with 2 wide single beds pushed together in the main room which leads off on to an exceptionally generous size balcony. Plenty of room for kids to play, loungers and table and chairs etc. the bed in the hallway (pull down from wall) was comfy and great for my 9 year old son. The livingroom couches were also single beds and of good quality and wide enough, seem some very slim, thin ones before - these were very comfy although never slept in by us as my daughter had a cot.
Check in and out was seamless but be aware a deposit is taken (around £10 per night and given back at end of apartment is left satisfactory) so factor this in to your spends needed initially.
The thing that stood out for us as a family was the lovely man and his assistants who ran the kids club, entertainment, pool games and really engaged with the children despite his obviously long days. They are a credit to the hotel and I don’t think it would attract as many families if this small but important team weren’t on board - my son Jacob loved kids club and made some great friends for the week.
Now is still recommend this hotel with given some recommendations to change things. The hotel caters to very large, roudy crowds of preteens/teens on school holiday stays. They are chaotic and woke our toddler several times, running through corridors screaming, taking up lift where pushchairs and wheelchair users should have priority and teens/groups managed more carefully as they would be if from anywhere else. Called to reception to complain and inform but was pretty much brushed off as they’re excited. Just not great for the rest of us also wanting to enjoy our apartment, sleep and have children. We waited an incredibly long time with 20-30 teens in front of us. I called down to reception one evening as they were shouting, banging and screaming in the halls. Some hotels do not cater to exceptionally large groups for this reason, especially when catering to family holidays also - I’d only stay again if I knew there was no large groups such as this booked to stay. We only ate breakfast the last morning as we preferred to go out to dinners etc as a social thing in the evenings with the children as we don’t drink alcohol much when have young children with us. Food was as expected in hotels, nothing bad to note and plenty of options which are the norm.
If you like quiet this hotel might not be for you. Po. Kew is loud due to entertainment although this didn’t bother us with it stopping at 11pm but the ‘quieter’ side facing out to the road/side was filled with already mentioned large groups of teens shouting back and forth to each other continually. Highly recommend checking if these school trips are on when booking if you like a quiet, relaxed family holiday (most of us do when we have young children).
All in all the hotel is great location, good sized rooms and entertainment for much younger children but would be put off returning due to the issues mentioned.

DingmaotoulangtouBefore we went, we didn't expect it to be so crowded. It felt like everyone in Europe had flocked to PortAventura. The hotel included free tickets to PortAventura and Ferrari World, and the price included breakfast and dinner, making it a great value. The hotel is like a resort, scattered around the lobby, offering quite a bit of privacy. There are two large, shallow pools, perfect for the kids to play in. We drank at the adjacent restaurant and bar. The first floor room was the best, with a small terrace right out the door and close to the pool. We stayed there for two nights and it was quite nice. The hotel is a little far from the park, but we found a small path that led us there. The park is huge, with lots of rides and a fun roller coaster, but it can be a bit crowded. The park doesn't provide any bottled water, and we couldn't drink their tap water. The water in Europe is very hard, and a 330ml bottle of water cost 3 euros, which is quite expensive. Check-in is until 3 p.m., and there's no free luggage storage; you have to pay for your own luggage.
