"The Huangyao Jiuhushan Hotel is an absolutely perfect accommodation choice for anyone visiting Huangyao! We especially loved the hotel's central courtyard – it's incredibly charming with its ancient aesthetic, flying eaves, upturned corners, red walls, and dark tiles, truly showcasing the classic Lingnan style. It was stunning at first sight. The courtyard itself is a highlight, with winding corridors, lush greenery, and beautifully arranged stone tables and stools. Strolling through it after the rain was incredibly poetic and relaxing. Our twin room was spacious and bright, the bedding was clean and soft, and the Chinese-style lattice windows brought the beautiful courtyard views right into the room. The wooden decor created a warm and comfortable atmosphere, making for an excellent stay. We'll definitely be back to stay here on our next trip to Huangyao."

"This is a brand new hotel, and impressively, there was no lingering smell of renovation. All the facilities were top-notch. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, the towels were plush and soft, and the room was spotlessly clean. It even had a smart TV with screen casting capabilities. Despite the spacious room, the air conditioning was powerful and cooled it down quickly.
The hotel is centrally located in the county town, making it convenient for guests to visit Nanshan Tea Sea.
A special commendation goes to the security staff. I used the laundry facilities quite late at night, and they kindly helped hang my clothes at my door after they were washed and dried. The front desk staff were also consistently warm, welcoming, and exceptionally polite.
I honestly didn't expect to find such a fantastic hotel in a small county town! The entire team, from top to bottom, showed an outstanding service mindset, and everything was executed flawlessly. I truly hope they continue to maintain these high standards. Their dedication is definitely noticed and appreciated by guests. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here!"

"I absolutely adored this place. A very quaint boutique hotel which has been integrated into the natural landscape of the ancient town. It is perfectly located by the bridge and river, in a quiet alley but also next to all the hustle and bustle when the tourists come out. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious and we had a lovely view of the mountains and old town. Make sure you check out the unobstructed views from the rooftop and take some time to relax there. Note as this is within the old town, the stone steps are part of the aesthetics so expect to climb up to your room. The staff is very helpful however and will take your luggage when you arrive. The common lounge area is also well designed although we didn't eat at the hotel given we wanted to explore the old town eateries. I would highly recommend this place to all travelers, you won't be disappointed!"

The owner was very welcoming and helped us buy tickets, which were cheaper than online. Breakfast is not included, but everything else is fine. The room is large with a big balcony offering beautiful mountain views. It was a bit of a shame that we couldn't sit on the balcony when we visited due to rain. The guesthouse is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends."

"Very convenient B&B. We drove directly to the entrance of the scenic spot that day. We could park our car at the entrance of the hotel. The boss said that we could park in the parking lot opposite if we wanted to be safe. The hotel has a light cream style. I really like this design. The boss also took us to visit other rooms. All of them have large floor-to-ceiling windows. You can enjoy the scenery while lying on the bed. The room is very clean and has a complete set of disposable items. The boss lady is very nice and polite. She even asked us to eat some fruit when we came in. By the way, their water chestnuts are super sweet. It's a very good experience. The environment of the homestay is elegant and quiet, the boss is warm and gentle, and the conversation room is full of calm. In the idle conversation, he personally introduced the founding and growth process of the ”Shinian B&B”, and the philosophy of life is full of open-minded words. The rooms are simple and clean, the beds are soft and skin-friendly, the green plants outside the window reflect warm light, and even the air is soaked in peace. There is a lazy sofa on the balcony, and it is an instant to relieve fatigue when lying down.
The most moving thing is the public area on the first floor: the wooden book bar next to the window is full of classic books, the tea room is full of Zen, the tea table is a large stone table, the purple sand pot and green plants are arranged scattered, the boss also personally make tea and the guests taste and talk, The gramophone in the audio-visual room is flowing with vinyl. The location of this hotel is perfect. Just a few steps from the front door, through an arch and there you have an idyllic view of the river, bridge, the beautiful architecture, market traders, a mill wheel, wonderful night lights, cafes.etc. The hotel is in a beautiful old house with lovely courtyards. There are lots of steps but the hotel owner kindly carried my case and met me from my taxi.
You need a ticket to enter the old town which the owner helped me organise; i coukd not arrive by taxi and just go to the hotel.
The view from the room was very nice.
There were mosquitos so you should remember your plug in repellent.
There was a tea service in the room but no tea

The location is very good! Right at the location of the dragon claw banyan tree.
Sanitation: Very clean! We also upgraded to a room with a view. In the morning, we can see the beautiful scenery when we open the window. It's great!
Service: The boss is very good! We also gave them their specialty rice noodles and the fruit they picked, Wogan. I will definitely recommend it to my friends, especially sitting on the roof of his house to drink tea and enjoy the view. It is simply a paradise on earth.

The purpose of going to Huangyao Ancient Town this time is to run a marathon. I went alone and did not have high requirements for accommodation. I found this inn from Ctrip. The reality is consistent with the description in the drawings. There is no odor in the room, the room is bright, the air conditioner is cold enough, the bathroom has balanced hot water, there are many restaurants downstairs, and it is 900 meters away from the starting point of the marathon. It is very convenient. Huangyao Ancient Town is just opposite, which is indeed very convenient. It is cost-effective and not expensive at all. I will recommend it to my friends.

The hotel's ambiance and layout are delightful, with a Santorini-style blue and white color scheme, a garden blending Chinese and Western elements, and murals and amenities both inside and outside the rooms, all reflecting the owner's artistic taste and attention to detail. Every corner is both practical and photogenic! The service was patient, meticulous, and attentive. The owner personally picked us up from the visitor center outside the scenic area, helped us with our luggage, and even extended our check-out time, making our trip even more enjoyable and relaxing for the two of us seniors!

The service was thoughtful. They picked us up at the entrance of the ancient town and waived the entrance fee. The hotel is elegant and exquisite, the rooms are super large, the facilities are complete, the bedding is dry and comfortable, and it is very comfortable to sleep. The location of the hotel is also very good, entering from the entrance of the ancient stage, near the dragon claw banyan. Highly recommended! !

Near Shenglongmen, self-driving cars have a separate parking location outside Shenglongmen, which is more convenient to enter and exit. The boss helped buy the ticket, which is cheaper than Trip.com . After entering the face, the ticket is free to enter and exit within three days.
The room is changed from the house and the inside is more beautiful. The top floor may not be suitable for taller people.
This price is in the scenic area, so this is fine.

This charming, ancient house turned family-run hotel is nestled within the historic city walls (note that even as a hotel guest, you’ll need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the city). Beautifully decorated, it exudes authentic charm, but it feels more like a homestay than a hotel, with its pros and cons.
The warm landlady’s hospitality and generosity were slightly hindered by the language barrier (as we regrettably don’t speak Chinese). However, her helpful daughter bridged the gap via WeChat, providing tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring a smooth stay.
All in all, it’s an excellent choice for travelers seeking a personal touch and a culturally immersive experience.

Helen Yu (Chestnut Journal)Tucked away in the farther end but still within the Huangyao ancient city, the Huangyao Dayuan provides quiet respite for travelers within the city itself. It is also located next to a heritage site. The staff was very helpful and gave me the information I needed to proceed to the next leg of my journey. There was a breakfast coupon and the vendor made good breakfast that lasted me all morning. The room was very spacious and it was also warm at night. All around could not have asked for more.
