Weixi Hotels with Wifi

"Located in a quiet and beautiful town at the foot of the Baima Snow Mountain, there are very few tourists. We came here for the beautiful Yunnan golden monkeys. Although there are not many people, there are many large supermarkets with all kinds of food, drinks and daily necessities. It feels more convenient than Shanghai and the prices are very cheap. Checking into the hotel, the sunset sunlight shining on the curtains, the quaint wooden furniture and wall panels, and the smell of distant smoke gave me the illusion of returning to my childhood home. Unfortunately, I heard that this place will no longer exist in the future. The whole town will be moved away for flood prevention."

"I had such a great stay in Tacheng, thanks to the hotel’s owner! When I planned my Yunnan trip and asked AI to help me (because of the lack of online information in English), and it recommended me to go to Tacheng to see the snub-nosed monkeys, little did I know that nothing could be done there without a car. Fellow travelers, just so you know: there are no bus stations nor taxis in Tacheng. I of course only realized it once I arrived. I felt dumb (no I do not have a car nor a driver), but the hotel’s owner was super kind and gave my friend and I free roundtrip rides, to the hotel and in the early morning to the Snub-nosed Monkey Park (that is closeby). Because the closest restaurant was 42 km away, we were given a generous and delicious dinner. (It was supposed to be 50 rmb but at the end the boss made it free.) I’m vegetarian and the boss accommodated me. The breakfast, that was included in the price, was also generous and delicious. As for the hotel, it was beautiful and comfortable. There’s a really nice living room (we were given free fruits and free beer!) and a really nice patio as well. The room was clean, the pillows were so soft and the shower was surprisingly techno. I slept very well, even though a rooster started to crow in the early morning (so remember to close the window before going to sleep). In the evening, we walked in the surroundings and I liked it so much, it was picturesque and peaceful. My stay in Tacheng could’ve been a nightmare but thanks to the hotel’s owner, I really enjoyed it (and I got to see the famous snub-nosed monkeys!) So I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, where I didn’t expect so much kindness and generosity."

"From Buddy, transfer in Weixi. This hotel is more expensive in the local area, the whole house is intelligent and very clean! This is very important for people who want to have a good rest. The bathroom is also very clean! The only downside is that the smell of smoke in the house is very heavy. If you change a room, there is still a clear smell of smoke. "這個民宿算是這麼多年來印象最好最深的一個了，怎麼説呢，就像是住民宿順便帶了一次納西族家訪的感覺，並且自己就像是這個家的一份子。民宿位置在塔城鎮中心幾公裡外的一個村子裏，松贊酒店在隔壁村。到民宿前，先經過一大片稻田，有很好看的坡度，民宿門口非常開闊，除了能看到稻田還能遠眺塔城鎮。我十一去，稻子還沒收割，非常出片（見下面照片）到的時候正好碰上老闆一家家族在店裡國慶節日聚餐，到的比較晚，路有點堵，老闆出來幫我引導到停車位，一開始就感覺到耐心和親近感。停穩後，老闆説正好碰到自己家人聚會，我們到的也很晚了，晚飯就在他這邊吃吧，不收錢。還是第一次碰到這麼把客人當家人的感覺。如圖，老闆給我們上了好多本地菜，味道很local美味。邊吃老闆、老闆娘還有老闆的叔叔都來敬酒，啤酒也送我喝，和我聊天，記得那天聊了好久到很晚。訂房的時候本來在和鎮上的另外一個民宿做選擇的，照片上看好像兩家裝修程度差不多，其實一開始還更偏向鎮上那個，因為我喜歡住熱鬧點的地方，吃飯也更有選擇。這次一進房間，給了我巨大的驚喜，裝修風格挺好，也比較精緻，頓時覺得老闆也太不會拍照片了，現場看肯定比鎮上那個好啊。老闆説他床品用的很好，床是實木床，床單被套都買的比較貴的，果然睡感很舒服。這麼好的環境，我早上也沒睡懶覺，迫不及待的早起撐着晨光出去飛飛機拍照片。回來八點鐘早飯已經準備好，是典型的納西族早飯（和藏餐也很像）。酥油茶和饅頭、小菜都很好吃。第二天上午要去金絲猴國家公園玩，老闆娘得知後聯繫了公園那邊，原來都是需要通過當地酒店或者民宿和那邊預訂的，來玩的要留意。"

"The hotel is quite large for the area, so the parking lot is also quite large, which is rare in the area, and can probably accommodate over 20 cars. The owner can arrange interactions with locals, home visits, and cultural heritage experiences. The bedding and toiletries are excellent. The shower has strong water pressure and plenty of water, and the shower floor drain drains quickly, preventing water from accumulating. Breakfast, tea/coffee, and meals by the fields are a fantastic setting. I found the breakfast delicious, featuring local, seasonal ingredients. Tacheng isn't as well-known as Shangri-La in Lijiang. At an altitude of around 2,400 meters, the climate is excellent, and it's definitely worth a 2-3 night stay to experience it all. You can hike, harvest, meditate, and more. Most importantly, local ethnic minorities (think Tibetans and Lisu) still live here. From your room or balcony, you can see the fields working in the distance. I have to say Songtsam's location is a sure win. (This is not a review of the Songtsam Hotel.) There are also many boutique B&Bs in the area, all very unique, so be sure to book in advance."
