"Beyond the official Tulou attractions, the proprietress also took us to a private spot (Pic 3). It was a lovely place where adults could enjoy tea and conversation, while children could play in the water and even try catching fish. It was absolutely wonderful! It truly felt like an escape to a secluded paradise – incredibly quiet, and there wasn't even any phone signal. A perfect opportunity to completely relax and unwind. Pictures 1 and 2 showcase the collection of old furniture and farming tools the proprietress has curated on the guesthouse's rooftop. It's a very thoughtful touch, and city kids found them particularly fascinating."

The house was renovated from a small village, a 1949 resort village. The house renovation was carried out by two college students who returned to their hometowns to start their own businesses. Each guest room was designed by themselves and designers, each with a different original color and elements. It is a farmhouse restaurant and a high-end homestay with unique features. Located in the central area of the entire Nanjing Tulou Scenic Area, the village is nestled by mountains and water, and stands out on the roadside< The village is based on four houses, among which Qiyuan Building is the birthplace of the entire Liwu Village with a history of 800 years, and Fubao Building has a history of over 200 years. It is also a combination of two stone houses, forming a courtyard. The main focus is on vacation parent-child tours, and the room has strong market positioning and details. Each room in the hotel has an independent refrigerator, dry and wet separation in the bathroom, hot water system and air energy, and the mattress is a dream lily zero pressure bed< Hotel breakfast and lunch are all local specialty farmhouse dishes. "The staff at this guesthouse were all incredibly warm and welcoming, which made for a great experience. Both dinner and breakfast were homemade here and tasted delicious. It was lovely to take a refreshing 50-minute walk in the cool morning air.
Just a short walk over a small bridge, the adjacent village features several traditional Hakka fortified houses. The oldest of these structures date back 800 years, while the most recent began construction in 1964.
The surrounding fields are beautiful, filled with rice paddies, lotus flowers, and passion fruit. Breathing in the fresh morning air from the fields was truly invigorating.
One minor suggestion: we couldn't locate the switch for the bathroom exhaust fan during our entire stay, even after trying all the available switches. I'm sure there's one, but clearer labeling would be very helpful."

"I would like to thank all staffs for making our 2 nights stay so comfortable and amazing. They are all very helpful and their services are really wonderful. The place is very neat and clean.
I brought my 16 months old girl to the retreat. They have specifically prepared her dinner based on my requirement and I must say that their food are really very delicious.

"The accommodation feels good, the room is hygienic and clean, the layout is simple and elegant. I especially like the beautiful scenery that can be seen through the two large glass windows. The boss is an enthusiastic person, and the dishes he cooks are delicious, especially the steamed light fish, which is delicious. "The girl at the front desk was very warm and thoughtful, and she would help us solve the problem in time if there were questions and answers, and give her a thumbs up 👍.
The hotel's hardware facilities are almost, the USB charging interface is not available, the sink drain connection is not closed, and the hand water comes out, making the sewage overflow, and the shower room is very inconvenient without putting things.
The decoration of the hotel is not much for a long time. The key is management. There are a lot of dirt on the tiles on the bathroom wall. I can wipe it clean with wet paper towels. No one pays attention to this. So the key is whether the management staff really pays attention to it.

"We, my parents, my father-in-law and my mother-in-law, a group of six people, started our trip to southern Fujian during off-peak hours. The experience of staying in this hotel was great. The owner was a very friendly family, especially my little sister who helped carry the luggage up and down. The room was very large and antique, especially suitable for a relaxing trip. The room was very clean, the viewing platform was first-class, and it was a very distinctive homestay. The quietness at night made you feel very comfortable. Friends who like quietness and leisure should not miss Taxia Village. The temperature is suitable, cool, very original and not very commercialized. The Firefly we stayed at this time is a store run by the couple with great care. We also let the boss arrange the food at Firefly. We told the boss how many people can eat and what the budget is, so we can go out and play with peace of mind. The meal in the picture only costs 200 yuan, tastes great and is very filling! ! What I like most is that there is a large platform to dry clothes, and you can lie on a chair and watch the stars in the sky at night! You can also see a lot of fireflies in June and July! A very satisfying stay! I will come again 🥰

JJianiniOn our drive back to Beijing from Sanya, we were enjoying the journey when our child suggested seeing a Tulou. We made a spontaneous decision to visit this place. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we learned so much chatting with them. This Tulou is over a century old. Initially, I noticed the windows had no glass and thought it was just for ventilation, only to discover they actually had a clever little mechanism! Haha.

The sanitation is very clean, and there are no mosquito bites even if you live on the second floor. The complimentary eye mask is very considerate, and the fruit and breakfast are very good. The small terrace can be used to enjoy the scenery and dry clothes. There are small scenes everywhere in the yard. The service is also good, especially the auntie who makes breakfast, who is warm and friendly. When you go in and out, you can always see her busy, cleaning the house and cleaning the fish pond, which makes you feel like home. The suite with a rooftop is recommended.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing experience to live in the “chopsticks” buildings of the four dishes and one soup! This was a small and beautiful village and the family who ran the inn helped us carry our luggage up to the inn and later down to the inn. When we arrived they cooked a dinner which was reasonable in price based on a local menu. And then during dinner, they told us that one of the family members will be running a free tour of the Tulous of four dishes one soup for us in which they explained the history of the building of the tulous, especially the oval shaped tulou. Our guide was very funny with his stories (he spoke in Chinese) and it was a lovely time seeing the artists and candy makers in the Tulous. I would highly recommend this place. We did have to bring our own towels (or at least we brought our own and they didn’t supply one), so maybe best to check.

The decoration is in a nostalgic campus style, but the hardware facilities are not outdated. You can see the subtle care that the owner put into the room design. There will be several modes of room lighting to suit various needs. The wet and dry partitions in the bathroom are relatively reasonable, and the sewers are smooth and do not accumulate water. The water heater has a large capacity, so you can take a comfortable bath without any problem. It has its own parking lot and is very convenient for self-driving. The location of the B&B is very close to the viewing platform of Four Dishes and One Soup, which has the advantage of seeing the lights and entering the village at night. The landlady usually drinks tea in the front hall. When you pass by and she is free, she will invite you to drink tea and chat with her. The boss will tell you about travel strategies when he has free time, and even take you for a walk in person.

Being the first establishment directly beneath the main viewing platform, it offers unparalleled convenience for guests to ascend and admire the panoramic scenery multiple times, both at dawn and dusk.
The owner's hospitality was outstanding. He proactively shared route suggestions that helped us avoid numerous inconveniences, saved significant costs, navigated tricky junctions, and led us to many distinctive sights, including fruit groves, forests, and tea fields.
Regarding the accommodations, it's important to remember this is a mountain setting, and with the recent rainy season, facilities are understandably modest. However, the pricing reflects this context and provides an authentic, rustic experience that urban hotels simply can't offer.
Above all, the food here is absolutely scrumptious! Dining in is a must to savor their delicious Hakka-style cuisine.
My biggest takeaway is the owner's genuine warmth and the wonderfully relaxing mountain environment, offering a perfect, temporary escape from the city's ceaseless clamor.

CCassie QianFun experience staying in a tulou! As the listing says, it's a shared bathroom outside the tulou structure and a plastic bucket outside your room if you need to pee in the middle of the night and don't want to go out far. Bring your own toilet paper and soap just in case they've run out in the shared bathrooms. The room itself was nice and ours on the top floor had a window. Power and wifi worked great. The hostess was super kind and brought us to our room, made sure we could find our way back, and offered us tea. I'd recommend for the unique experience!
