"The hotel room is not very warm, the quilt is relatively thin, and the soundproofing is very poor. At 23:30 last night, people in other rooms in the corridor were still making loud noises, which was very speechless. A deposit of 100 is required for check-in, and it cannot be refunded upon check-out, only 100 in cash, but it must be paid after the cleaning staff has checked the room (I don't understand what the 100 deposit is for in such a shabby hotel with nothing in the room?). It is a waste of time!"

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . .

"I've visited the Badaling and Mutianyu Great Walls before, but it was already late this time when I went to the Jinshanling Great Wall, so I found a nearby farmhouse to stay the night.
Parking was convenient, and the farmhouse owner was very helpful and even offered to upgrade my room.
The breakfast was visually appealing.
The bathroom and toilet had a noticeable odor problem with the sewer pipes.
In my experience, this probably stemmed from the construction not properly installing the one-way sewer bend.
I arrived late and left early the next morning."

"Similar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!"

"I didn't expect that the homestay at the foot of Jinshanling would have such a good accommodation experience. I went there with my family last weekend for the sunrise and sea of clouds. I felt very friendly when I saw the sign of the photography house at the door. On both sides of the stairs, there were pictures of the Great Wall taken by the owner himself. I consulted many scenic spots and shooting matters. The owner patiently answered them and was enthusiastic. Thank you very much! The courtyard is not big, but it is quiet and leisurely. You can also go to the third floor to see the distant mountains and stars. I stayed here for two consecutive days and booked a standard room on Friday. When I extended my stay, it was full, so I renewed the suite. Both room types are good, large, clean and safe. The door lock is brush-type like a chain hotel, and the bathroom is also separated into dry and wet areas. There are hair dryers and toiletries. Finally, it is very convenient to climb the Great Wall in the early morning living in this village. It is not far from the ticket gate. I was lucky to see the beautiful sunrise over the sea of clouds."

GGuest UserWhen traveling during the epidemic, I deliberately chose this hotel to stay away from noisy places. Just follow the navigation. I really like the rural atmosphere here. You can live from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation conditions are also good, the hygiene is quite clean, and the things are also good. It’s very new. The boss and the wife are very enthusiastic. I told the boss in advance that we can have breakfast in the morning. We had a sumptuous lunch at an acceptable price. We went to climb the Great Wall before dawn. I heard from the boss that the red leaves on the Great Wall are still there. There is no discoloration. It will be more beautiful after October. I can recommend friends who love photography to come with me next time😃

SSidouOn April 30, we just randomly found a restaurant to stay at night, but it was unexpected. The boss and his wife were very nice. They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking.

RRudmer WigleI had an excellent stay at this guest house. The family that runs it is very friendly and very helpful. Not a lot of English is spoken, but don't let that deter you, it's a very welcome place and they'll take care of your needs. They can provide a lot of info on visiting the Wall and the location is just a hundred meters from the entry gate to the Jinshanling Wall. Even though it's still a few 100 meters walking after that, this is the closest you can stay in case you want to get on the wall for sunrise. Dinner was very tasty. I would definitely come back!

GGuest UserThis place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!

Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

While the rooms aren't huge, their biggest advantage is definitely the superb location right next to the Jinshanling Great Wall entrance – it's only about a five-minute walk to the gate, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel's overall environment is pleasant, and they offer a wide variety of room types. There's also an on-site restaurant where you can have dinner. In the surrounding area, you'll find coffee shops and restaurants, perfect for an evening out. A really great perk is that hotel guests can drive their cars directly onto the property.

GGuest UserThe most cost-effective inn in Jinshanling Yinhe Ski Resort, it is cleaner and brighter than the inn in Dongyingzi Village, and closer than the county hotel (most hotels in the county are not as clean and comfortable as Yuxiu), and the boss is very nice. It's very convenient to eat. It's just on the first floor of the inn. There are stir-fries, griddles, and stews. The dishes are large, affordable, and delicious.
