"Among all the B&Bs I've stayed at, this one easily ranks in the top three. If you factor in the price, it's definitely number one for value for money. The family running the B&B was incredibly welcoming and warm, especially the older folks who were so vibrant. To get from the B&B to the Jinshanling Great Wall hiking entrance, we asked the owner to call a car for us, and it was only 10 yuan per person one way, dropping us off directly. The minivan was much more comfortable than taking the shuttle bus, and it's also a short walk if you prefer. If I had to pick a downside, the toiletries were a bit basic, but considering the room rate, that's easily overlooked."

"Location: this is a one-minute walk from the Middle Gate / entrance to the Jinshanling Great Wall (the best location for an early start as the gate opens as early as 4-5am) and has great value for money compared to other farmstays or hotels with this proximity to the entrance.
Cleaniness: spacious and clean room with all the necessary amenities, though most are single-use so bring your own if you would like to be environmentally-conscious. The bathroom also had only a half-door so there was a chance that water from the showerhead may spill out a bit.
Service: the host was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ms. Li is able to tell you about the best hiking paths, hiking time, and ways to get around / get back. She can also help you arrnage transport to nearby Gubei Watertown or tell you how to get back to city centre Beijing if you ask. As all farmstays do they have their own restaurant that can cook just about any typical home-cooked meals (and they are flexible with portions and pricing, depending on the size of your group). There is a small shop area at reception if you need some last-minute supplies for the Great Wall (food and drinks mostly).
100% recommended for those who wish to get an early start to the Great Wall with a decent night's sleep and some comfort meals."

"Location: Its main advantage is its proximity to the scenic area's entrance. No need for a shuttle bus; it's just a 100-meter walk. You can head out anytime to catch the sunset in the afternoon or the sunrise in the morning.
Facilities: Quite old. As it's the only hotel within the scenic area, maintenance is poor.
Hygiene: Relatively clean. However, the bathroom has a strong odor, and there's a lot of limescale on the sink, faucet, shower area, and showerhead. The shower area also has a distinct smell.
Service: Practically no service to speak of. Rooms are spread across different sections, and there's no bellboy to help with luggage. Only one female staff member helped us with one suitcase; we had to drag the rest ourselves.
Overall, it's just average. There are many guesthouses inside the scenic area with equally good locations. If you're looking for better value for money, a guesthouse might be a more advantageous choice."

"This hotel is conveniently located near the scenic area, making travel easy. The navigation led us directly to the entrance, where the warm and welcoming owner personally greeted us – a big thumbs up! The home-cooked meals by the owner were delicious, especially the chicken stew with wild mushrooms which was incredibly tender and juicy – absolutely fantastic! The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to friends in need of accommodation."

"I took my parents to Jinshanling for a three-day, two-night off-peak getaway.
**Environment:** The hotel's location is excellent. Right outside, you'll find restaurants and a bakery, and just a short walk away is a large lawn. The interior environment is simple and quiet.
**Service:** What's truly commendable is that I added Si Han from the front desk on WeChat during check-in. She was very gentle and polite in person, and always resolved all our issues promptly. Because I was with my parents, she often anticipated our needs. The next time I go to Jinshanling, I'll definitely look for her again.
**Private Hot Spring Experience (2 hours):** We used the private hot spring for two consecutive days. It's indeed much smaller than the one at Wulingshan, and the tea and snacks provided weren't as refined. However, the excellent service made up for it."

"The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, and both the facilities and cleanliness are impeccable. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I have to complain about a front desk staff member who answered the phone between 7 and 10 PM on the 31st. The first time I reported the washing machine wasn't working, she actually told me it was leaking and advised me not to use it. I ended up fixing and using it myself. The second time I called about the shower water not getting hot, her response was even more ridiculous: she told me to just keep running the water until it got hot. I wasted nearly half an hour, and the water never got warm. In the end, a housekeeping staff member came and simply inserted the gas card, which solved the problem. What's worse is her terrible attitude; she was argumentative and refused to admit her incompetence in handling issues, acting as if she knew everything. She definitely deserves a bad review! On another note, the hotel is very close to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is absolutely worth a visit!"

"Facilities are sufficient for our type of travel; that are trekking and Great Wall viewing. Location is excellent with easy access to different parts of the of the Great Wall. "I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm.
But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable.
The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He
eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station.
They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”"

I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a night or more, near Jinshanling Middle Gate Great Wall. It is just beside the ticket counter. And when other shops are closed after sunset, the property can still cook up some dinner for the guests. On my second night, the portion of my fried rice was so big, I felt grateful for the treatment. The bed was comfortable. The room heater worked very well. The place was not noisy. It was a good stay.

For my first visit to the Jinshanling Great Wall, I chose Jianguo Farmhouse Inn. It was very convenient; I could drive right to their door, and it was very close to the ticket gate, about a two-minute walk. The rooms were clean and tidy, the food was delicious, and the owner was warm and hospitable. He explained the tour route to us, where to watch the sunrise and sunset, and even helped us buy tickets. Overall, I highly recommend this place! 👍👍👍👍

The room was clean, and the homemade fried dough sticks and steamed buns for breakfast were delicious! 😋 The owners and their family were so warm and helpful. When we called from the visitor center, the owner came to pick us up. And when we checked out, since the owners weren't home, the owner's mother even drove us back to the visitor center on her electric tricycle! 🤣 We'll definitely stay here again next time.

Vivie PanI have known the owner of this restaurant for many years. When I come to Jinshanling Great Wall, I always go to the Cui Family Courtyard for lunch. The proprietress Xiaoli is quick at work and the food is delicious. The whole family is very enthusiastic. This is the first time to stay at his house. The room is clean and comfortable. Not on the roadside, very quiet at night. It’s a great choice to watch the sunrise and sunset at Jinshanling Great Wall. The boss Er Ming is a photography enthusiast and a big anchor, and he can accompany him to climb the Great Wall.

Guest UserFacilities: Just opened, the facilities are all new and comprehensive. The laundry room and restaurant are excellent, and the small shop has a great selection of affordable food. The only minor point is that you have to go to their other complex to charge your car, but it's very close.
Cleanliness: As it's newly opened, the cleanliness is definitely top-notch. The restaurant's hygiene is also very good.
Environment: It's large and beautiful, with great air quality. There's a football field and a baseball field.
Service: The front desk staff, both male and female, are very friendly and amiable. Their attitude is excellent, and they try their best to meet guests' needs.

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

Travel WWThe hotel room is not very warm, the quilt is relatively thin, and the soundproofing is very poor. At 23:30 last night, people in other rooms in the corridor were still making loud noises, which was very speechless. A deposit of 100 is required for check-in, and it cannot be refunded upon check-out, only 100 in cash, but it must be paid after the cleaning staff has checked the room (I don't understand what the 100 deposit is for in such a shabby hotel with nothing in the room?). It is a waste of time!

The room was very clean, the air conditioning and warm air were also very good, the boss was really enthusiastic, the photography technology was also very good, the homestay was full of photos of the Great Wall he took.
