"It's a bit strange; it claims to be a family-friendly hotel, yet it lacks bed rails. Other children's amenities, however, are quite complete.
As a five-star hotel, looking at customers while speaking is basic, right? The receptionist, Chen Xiaomei, was expressionless and had a terrible attitude; she didn't even look up when I spoke to her. After checking in, I wasn't satisfied with the room type and asked Chen Xiaomei if I could pay for an upgrade. She didn't even look up and simply said there were no rooms available. I checked Ctrip, and there were still many rooms available. Clearly having rooms available, yet refusing to allow customers to pay for an upgrade and failing to communicate with customers is extremely incompetent. This service is worse than a 50 RMB restaurant down the mountain.
My takeout arrived, but I wasn't in the room at the moment. I told the front desk I'd deliver it in five minutes. Three minutes later, I returned to the room to find a robot waiting at the door—I was helpless. The front desk really seems like a makeshift operation.
I found a huge ant on the bed.
The doorman, cleaning lady, and restaurant staff were all very friendly. I've also seen several complaints about the front desk on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). It hasn't improved after all this time; maybe the front desk staff are all people with connections."

There are scenic spots and residences nearby, the air is very good and quiet and livable. The front desk service is also very good, the detailed introduction of the play guide, very practical! grateful! "This is the last day of my trip. The hotel environment is very good and the equipment is OK, but the service is still lacking. It should be a management problem. The rooms are on the second floor. There's a bedroom, a small living room, and a toilet. The sleeping room has two beds and is okay, but the lighting is poor, and the soundproofing is also bad. The table in the room is very unstable and wobbly, making it unusable.
There's a balcony on the second floor. The view is quite nice in the morning, and you can stargaze at night when all the village lights are off. However, the chairs on the balcony are broken and unusable.
This room is slightly better than the family room, but I recommend choosing the cheaper room type, which has better lighting.
The owners are very welcoming. You can eat snacks and have tea downstairs.

This is not only a place to stay, but also an experience of traveling through time and space. The entire ancient village exudes a strong historical atmosphere, and Ziyang Academy is a pearl among them, perfectly combining simplicity and elegance.
Ziyang Academy is located in the center of Peitian ancient village. It is surrounded by blue bricks and black tiles and shaded by ancient trees. When you step into it, you feel instantly isolated from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The architecture of the academy retains the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with carved beams and painted buildings, flying eaves and pointed corners. Every detail reveals the accumulation of years and the wisdom of the craftsmen. The courtyard is spacious and quiet, and the bluestone pavement in the courtyard seems to tell the story of the ancient village in the breeze.
The room is simply and elegantly decorated, and the wooden structure and traditional furniture give people an antique atmosphere. The bed is clean and comfortable, and outside the window you can see green mountains and clear waters. In the distance you can hear the sounds of chickens crowing, dogs barking, and children playing in the village. It makes you completely relax and return to nature. The owner of the academy is very hospitable. He personally greeted us when we checked in and also introduced the history, culture and must-see attractions of Peitian Ancient Village to us, like a gentle and elegant cultural guide. The host also invited us to taste tea. The aroma of tea and the casual conversation instantly brought him closer to the guests and made us feel warm. The food here is equally surprising, all of which are authentic Hakka dishes with fresh ingredients and mellow taste, especially the tofu, local chicken soup and rice wine, which are very memorable.
At night, the whole ancient village becomes quiet and you can see the starry sky when you look up. The lanterns of Ziyang Academy cast a faint warm light, which complements the surrounding quaint environment. Very friendly staff and a large clean room. I was given unlimited water which was nice as I was there for a race. There is a yearly Guang Zhou Shan marathon which I was there for and this is the perfect spot as it's just 5mins walk to the race pack collection and starting line the next morning

Departing from Guangzhou, I booked a view room and a courtyard room at Hua Mei Shi B&B two days in advance and the stay experience was very good. The view room has a wide field of vision. You can see the beautiful scenery of Guanzhi Mountain by opening the window. When you wake up in the morning, you will see green everywhere, as if you are in a landscape painting, which is refreshing. The rooms are warmly and comfortably furnished, with complete facilities to meet daily needs.
The courtyard room has its own unique charm and is very private. The courtyard is surrounded by green plants and there is an outdoor leisure area where you can drink tea, chat and enjoy a leisurely time. Guest UserWe booked the wrong dates, but the owner still booked us a room right away. Luckily, it wasn't a holiday; they'd probably be fully booked during holidays. There weren't many rooms, and each one had a unique name and a stone wall panel painting. The room was clean, and the bath towels were especially dry, making it feel very comfortable and hygienic. It would be wonderful to come in the summer and enjoy the starry sky outdoors at night. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day this time. 🤨😭
