"This stay at the Fake Foreigner's Inn was such a delightful surprise! The room window offered an unbeatable panoramic view of the Nujiang Grand Canyon; the mountains shrouded in morning mist were like a beautiful ink painting, and the distant Crown Mountain was clearly visible – every frame was a breathtakingly beautiful scene. The inn was quiet and comfortable, with meticulously maintained flowers and plants in the courtyard. Sitting on the terrace, enjoying the breeze and mountain views, I didn't want to leave. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and attentive, recommending fantastic sightseeing routes and sharing local food and stories – their service was impeccable. The room was spotless, and the bedding was clean and comfortable, making for a very peaceful stay. I highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting Laomudeng; the experience will be absolutely fantastic!"

"The room was clean and tidy, and well-equipped. However, the absolute highlight was the huge panoramic terrace in the room. From there, you could overlook the Nujiang River nestled at the foot of the mountain. Waking up in the morning to see the Nujiang River and the opposite mountains shrouded in mist and clouds was like a scene out of a fairyland. The terrace was furnished with comfortable lounge sofas and footrests, perfect for relaxing there day and evening, listening to the cicadas. A gentle breeze caressed your skin, truly helping your mind unwind. It's truly the best choice for a relaxing getaway. The hotel is located on top of a mountain, surrounded by ancient trees, with wonderfully fresh air. I highly recommend taking a walk around the hotel and its surroundings in the morning; the temperatures are pleasant, and the air is truly invigorating. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but everything tasted delicious. I particularly recommend the ”Er Si” noodles (a local specialty). Even if you arrive late, the kitchen can prepare a fresh portion for you, which shows how incredibly attentive their service is. Speaking of service, the hotel staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. There's also a music cafe where you can enjoy a coffee and some tunes. Just outside the lobby, there's another viewing platform with small lounge sofas and coffee tables, perfect for enjoying the scenery with a cup of tea. A few kilometers down the road from the hotel is Laomudeng, which is worth a visit. The dinner at the hotel was also quite tasty, though the only downside was that it was a bit expensive. This is probably due to its unique location, which is understandable. Getting to the hotel isn't very convenient, so I'd recommend driving yourself. Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, Zhiziluo Cloud-Top Hotel is an excellent choice."

"The standout feature of this small hotel is undoubtedly its stunning scenery. If a great view is your priority, it overshadows the hotel's downsides – and there are downsides. While the room itself was standard for China, we encountered a significant issue with a bad smell from the bathroom. Despite this unpleasantness, the view was consistently amazing. Breakfast was underwhelming too, but considering the hotel's remote location, choices might be scarce."

"The inn was a pleasant surprise, the room was exactly like the promotional pictures, and the view was great. The hardware mentioned before doesn’t have any major problems, which put my worries to rest - the price-performance ratio is still very high. The innkeeper was also very welcoming. He took us all the way to the room and told us that we could eat on the first floor and take photos on the top floor. We lived on the third floor, up the stairs to the Old Muden Church. Standing on the balcony, you can not only face the Crown Peak, but also see the Nujiang Gorge. In the morning, I sat on the bed wrapped in a cotton jacket, peeling oranges and waiting for the sunrise. I felt very happy and warm. The breakfast is simple. In addition to rice noodles, there are buckwheat cakes, pickles and eggs. The buckwheat pancakes were bland and tasteless. Dinner was not cheap but considering the location it was acceptable. As it was Chinese New Year, there were too many people, so the food was served slowly and in a chaotic manner, but it was understandable."

"We arrived at Yinfang Inn in Laomudeng Village, Pihe Nu Autonomous Township, Nujiang Prefecture at around 3:00 p.m. There were seven rooms on the second floor, and the owner and his wife lived on the first floor. The boss is a carpenter. When he was young, he worked in many places such as Zhuhai, Zhejiang and Beijing, so he is very good at chatting. Except for his clothes, he doesn't look like a country farmer at all. The boss and his wife are very polite. When guests come, they will treat them with raw sunflower seeds and cucumbers picked from the fields. The room I booked on Ctrip cost just over 100 yuan including breakfast for two. It was really unexpected that I could stay in such a clean and tidy room with a toilet in the countryside. This shop is built on a high place. The bamboo balcony on the first floor and the balcony of the room on the second floor can be used as a good viewing platform, with a panoramic view of the church and the pond."

"The parent-child room is particularly comfortable. The scenery is very good. The terrace on the third floor is great for watching stars, mountains and clouds. The food ordered at the restaurant on the first floor tastes good and the portions are large. I didn't finish it at noon and left it to heat up in the evening. Recommended to settle in."

"The room is exactly as pictured, so I won't show it much. I'll just show you the surrounding environment and scenery. The host is a local Nu ethnic minority member (Teacher Chen), and also an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage. Their folk songs are beautiful, and there's a demonstration of unique Nu musical instruments. If you want to learn about Nu culture, this is a good choice. It's a sisterly business; the older sister manages accommodation, and the younger sister manages catering. On the afternoon of our visit, we chose a local free-range chicken for dinner, which was delicious! 😋 The breakfast provided was also excellent; the eggs seemed to be from their own chickens, not factory-farmed chickens. Now, let's talk about the location. Laomudeng is located at a relatively high altitude. It rained and fogged the day we went, with visibility around three meters. There are many hairpin bends, and we didn't see a single house halfway up the mountain, almost thinking we were on the wrong road. Personally, I think the mountain road in Laomudeng is even more dangerous than the Bayinbuluke track in the movie ”Pegasus.” Parking is mostly on the roadside, and the road is a bit narrow, making both driving and parking quite challenging."
